Yes you can get the radio AM or FM or Ipod to play hile in advance appmode follow the following steps

1-Make sure the iphone is connected to the AVH-P8400BH select the mode button on the HU

2- double click the home button on the HU (this will take you to the home screen)

3- select settings from the home screen menu

4- scroll to app sound mixing select low setting

you should now have Am FM and Ipod sound while in advance appmode
