  1. I know that a few people have had this issue having read many posts about it - but no one seems to have been able to fix.

    - Unit powers on, buttons light up but then go off after a few seconds - fan is still running though.

    - There is never any splash screen or anything displayed on screen

    - No boot into testmode using SD

    - Doing the Reset-Eject-Menu-Map combo makes the lights continuously flash.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks

  2. Was trying to perform a firmware upgrade, and it crapped out in the middle.

Now, when I power on my 700BT, the lights on the unit come on for about 20 seconds, then it shuts off.

I've tried getting to the service menu (reset+eject+map+menu), but it doesnt seem to work. I also don't get a Pioneer splash screen or anything on screen for that matter.

Does anyone have any ideas for how to salvage this thing without sending to Pioneer?

    Thanks for any help.

  3. I'm a bit confused regarding the aux. input on the front of the F700BT, can this not be used with a normal MP3 player? I've tried, but there doesn't seem to be any way to enable it, except for IPOD or Video.

From what I can see, it only works with a certain cable meant for video input, according to the manual.

This is unfortunate if so. What if I have a friend in the car with an MP3 player and we just want to go with that...

  4. My unit tries to dial the 415 area code, and I'm in Toronto, Canada- does anyone know for sure if it is actually a collect call? The last thing I want is a bunch of long distance calls to the US on my bill...

Additionally, is there a way to edit the number GOOG-411 uses, such as theri 1-800 instead?
