I have 06, I did not need an ant adapter. Just get the harness and mount at best buy, under 20 bucks each
-
Like in my ford truck I took out a small cap of the cable and used the factory antenna.
Im sure the unit isnt built in to factory radio and theres another unit it connects to.
-
Where is your antenna? Sirius goes silent when it dosnt get a signal, XM plays static when it looses its.
I used factory ford sirius antenna. All you had to do is remove a cap and it fits.
The only thing it for some reason with clear view of the sky/no trees it will go have some static but then go away and sounds clear. Like when I listen to howard stern its not constant static but only when someone talks.
Strangest thing I swear, even tried switching out cable, checked connections, removed bluetooth unit. Next is try another antenna.

650 is palm only...

I just picked up sir-pnr1 for my avic-d3 but at some random times there is static coming through but there are no trees or clouds around with clear view of the sky.
Is the a problem with pnr1 or something else?

Get one of these. Should work fine.

The SMT-AI will drop the voltage of the amp turn on from your aftermarket head unit so your factory amplifier will not “POP†when you turn on the vehicle.

Until I receive my sirius module...
Can you set the next and previous hard buttons on the D3 to go to the next/previous presets and not just seek the stations?
-
Does anyone have a pic of their D3 installed in a 06 f-150? Or the new body style of the f150? I don't think mine is sitting in there right since theres a nice gap around the unit even after I put the trim piece in there.
Should look like this depending on kit.

another f150

-

cant you transfer a lifetime subscription to like 6 units or something?
-
you can use the attenna but you will still need to buy the pioneer sirius module.
-
crutchfield is including the boyo license plate camera w/ D3 purchase.

Figure of speech fellas
-
as the topic says does the D3 show you the message from your phone onscreen with bluetooth??
Thanks
-
Has anyone ordered crutchfield warranty? Is a 3 year worth the 79 bucks?
Thanks!
