Way I see it s that I can help out by burning because I have DL discs, I have a DL burner, and I know for a fact they work. So my cost covers all my expenses, plus time and gas to the post office, which now with the holidays, I can't get in there and spend less than 20 minutes. Usually closer to 40 mins there.

So yeah. If you're lazy or dont have a burner for DL or DL discs, I can help you out.

I downloaded the newest ones for my n3, and they work perfect, even just tried adding in the address like you mentioned... worked flawlessly. I have been making copies of these discs for other members and have had nothing but positive comments about them...

Try the new ones, then consider it might be your unit itself.

Mine has been bypassed, and when I upgraded it still works perfect...

OK, I get emails and pm's literally daily from people asking if I am still making these discs for people.

Figured I'd just make a post about it to let everyone know.

Yes. I can. I can always get more DVDs when I run out, so if anyone still needs the update discs provided by jlong, I can burn and ship them to your door for $15. This covers the discs (~2.00 each) shipping box ($3.00) and shipping (generally $3.00) plus a couple dollars for my time and gas to the post office. I have had NO ONE that bought one complain about the price.

They generally go out within one day from payment (paypal or MO) and are usually priority mail (2-5 days)

If there is an error when they burn, I don't send them. They have to burn 100% correctly for me to send them out (why waste everyones time?)

I have shipped probably 30 copies so far, with only one complaint. For whatever reason his disc didnt work. I made a new one, sent it out, he said it worked great. I have received probably 20 emails back with people happy and letting me know everything went well.

I have sent out 7 copies and have 3 more copies burning now to go out tomorrow morning. Apparently $15.00 isn't too much to ask after all.

I still owe solid gratitude and appreciation to jlong and rotun for making it happen. I got my DL for free, aside from having to buy some damn DL discs, but in the end, guys, it really is appreciated.

You are a self righteous arrogant prick and you just like hearing yourself talk. this is a forums full of free information tech advice, tips tricks and hacks so why wouldnt people come here wanting the updates for free too? Christ. We are sharing something with other people, we all understand you don't approve. I think its also safe to say none of us give a fuck what you think?

If you are not tech savvy, don't have a DL burner, don't own any DL discs, or are just fuckin lazy, I can and will burn copies for you. $15 for both east and west, on a memorex DL DVD +R, which works perfect, shipped to your door. Paypal or money order is ok, and I don't charge extra for paypal! I downloaded these free same copies that are here on the FTP, and can provide the DVD, burning, and shipping for those of you that are held back by one of the stipulations above.

and who wants to pay for their copy of a disc then wait 10 days till I feel I have enough to make it worth it for a trip to the post office? $15 for a $120 product is not at all unreasonable. I hardly feel like I'll be made a millionaire for it. Not to mention the fact that to not waste a good DL disc I can hardly justify using my pc during a burn, so as to decrease possibilities of it causing a problem during burning. So for the hours of not being able to use my pc, the time to buy discs up front before knowing people will order copies, the time to burn them, pack them, ship them, gas, boxes, when all is said and done... I personally would've paid someone $15 to do it all for me. So yeah marc, as much as you preach about being able to afford a nice new GPS unit but not the

"food" for it you so often proclaim, $15 seems like an awful lot of cash for you.

yeah, plum, 15 bucks. I got it for free. DL discs are expensive. I got 10 of them for $19.00 here at Circuit city. Postage is roughly $3.00 from the post office for a box (rather than crummy envelopes that will, and have in my past experiences, snapped discs in two.) And I don't think $7 is unfair for my time and gas to get to the post office to send them out, plus the HOUR each disc takes to burn.

I have a DL burner. I have downloaded and used both discs. Both work perfect in my N3 and N4.

If Anyone wants a copy, I can burn and mail a copy for $15 for both east and west discs SHIPPED. This is for the cost of the DVDs and for shipping, plus a couple dollars for gas to the DVD store and post office. Not looking to make any money off this, because jlong and rotun were so kind as to provide them for free, so if anyone does not have a DL burner, I can get you east and west that I know for a fact work, for $15.
