  1. Guys the answer is in my post. PLS READ READ READ. You don't need a back up of the whole flash disk if the only problem ur facing is ur SD/USB not working or something else breaking after you do the 2.0 update. All you need is the original update zip file for ver 2.0 from pioneer. U need to unzip it and then copy and replace any files and/or folders on ur flash disk with what is in the LUP... update folder. If someone still needs an the full flash disk for an Avic-F500BT (because that is what I own) please let me know and I will upload it to anywhere you want.

    Haris.

So basically I can go to the main page for avic411.com and click the link for the pioneer 2.0 firmware, download it, open the zip file and inside will be the LUP folder that I need?

  2. Hey Andy and Shaft. I have a backup of the Avic-F500BT flash disk with ver 2.0 update. That ftp site was not mine it was someone else's so he probably changed the username and password. I can upload the backup flash disk anywhere u want and u don't have to pay me for anything. This forum is free and designed to help people for free not to make a quick buck. So pls either one of u let me know where u want it and I will start the upload.

    Haris.

How big is the file? Is it larger than 800 mb ?

If it's less than 800mb can you upload it to the following FTP I've set up? THANKS!

  3. anyone with the G1 phone been able to get play music on the F900BT via usb mass storage?

I have my SD card partitioned into 2 partitions (fat32/ext2) and when I connect the phone to the unit and select to mount the fat32 partition on the F900BT all looks good. But the icon for USB on F900BT never lights up, just grayed out. I should also mention it is a 16GB SDHC microSD card I have in my phone.

    1 gb partition for ext2

    15 gb partition for fat32

It used to work fine on my 1gb microsd card that had only 1 fat32 partition. Not sure if having 2 partitions is causing an issue, or the size of the sdhc card is the issue. Ideas?

paste it in your browser. It took me 9 hours to download F700 backup. Once downloaded, extract it on your computer's HDD. Copy it over to your SD card along with the Testmode files on the root directory. Once in test mode, delete all contents in the "My Flash" directory, took about 20 minutes for me. Then copy over the contents from the SD card to that directory, took about 30 min for me. This method worked for me, I figured if it didn't I was going to have to send it in anyway, so why not try it.

I'm getting authentication failed with user "avic" and blank password. HELP!

  5. Even if there is... Won't hold up in court unless it was written to WORM (which the avic can't do) format and you could prove it came from your car.. In digital forensics this would be considered hearsay evidence...

Damn, well it was worth a shot lol. Thanks

  6. Its already there: the onboard Speedam Warning alerts you to upcoming cams as well as your overspeed. But if you're talking handheld radars, well that's another story..............

I meant clicking a button and a logfile is created on the SDCARD which shows my speed now, then 1 second from now, 1 second from then, and so forth.

  7. Is there any way to possibly create a button on the nav screen that can turn logging on/off for how fast you are going? This would be very useful for fighting a speeding ticket as most radar guns aren't calibrated and our gps enabled units are pretty accurate. Any ideas?

  8. I'm starting to wonder if Microsoft completely turned off Msn Direct in the Austin,TX area. It hasn't worked on my F900BT in months. Doesn't even show it has a signal, yet my FM stereo works just fine so I know its not the antenna. Any suggestions?

  9. After you got there, interesting files would be ezrider.exe in APL2/igo directory (that's the main iGO executable) and MainMenu.exe and AV.exe in the /APL directory

Just to be clear, the test mode files are only used to boot the deck into test mode correct? They are not all of the files that I will find on the unit itself once I boot into test mode? Once in test mode, will I be able to copy all of the files onto my SD card or onto a USB drive or both? Thanks guys/girls
