So iwas in boston MA this weekend. left from Hartford CT. I just got my new N3 i made a route from Hartford to Boston and it mapped it out but onces it was mapped the green memory icon was flashing green and the nav was really jumpy on teh screen. It took almost 20mins to load the hole route in to memory. Once it loaded it all everything moved fine. It just seem to take way to long to save all that.

Thoughts ?????

I have gotten through my head its just odd that for some reson mine works deffiernt. I have tried multple ways and changed cables. Well the unit it self is to blame. Well thanks for you help

THis is all depending on how the bus actally works. It may have a loop back setup. THink about it this way from what i can tell the bus is similer to and IDE bus for hard drives in the computer. You have hard drive A and hard B on the same IDE cable. Hard drive A power is pluged in witch is on the first spot on IDE cable. Then Hard drive be is on the second spot of the cable with no power plugged in. The bios will not see either drive. Its somewere to termatinate. Now back to what you said. If the ip-bus cable was bad and it was last on the chain the unit would never see that it was even there witch then all thing on the chain would run normal. So in all in all i could be totaly off. But most likley thats the way teh bus works. Just to clearfy a bit for you.

I understand the setup perfectly but just to let you konw that all devices on the bus must be powerd even at the end of the line of the daisy chain. I called pioneer. They think bad unit. I have to send it out to them. I will let you konw what happens. Anything on teh bus must have power or nothing on the bus will work.

I did all that i think its the unit. Its funny becasue i had the ipod adapter go to the xm then xm to the brain. Now if i did not have power on to the ipod adapater the xm would not work. Thats kinda werid in my eyes because the ipod was conected to the xm. then xm to brain.

Not sure what to do.

I also just did the ipod adapter to the brain and that did not work either.

Could it be my ipod? I did not think of trying another one. But my ipod works fine in my pc and my mac

Ok

Just installed my n3 cant seem to get my CD-IB100II work. My xm works great. But when i plug my ipod in to the control nothing happens. Is there a rest or something on the CD-IB100II. Any one else run in to these issues?

Just switched out my avin-n2 wiht a new N3 and intsalled my n2 in my dads car. Well now back to the N3. Installed it and i get no radio stations at all. AM or FM no fuzz of anything. Called pioneer says it could be a defective tuner. So i switched out my dads n2 and put the n3 in his car and still the same problem. CDs seem to play fine. Whats everone thought

I am getting a new n3 i have the n2 in my jeep now. Can i jus swtitch the screen and teh brain and keep the wires from the n2.

the price difference isnt several hundred dollars, so you know, you can get it for that price if not $30 more at online shops that arent ebay

what do you guys think about this deal? I am selling my n2 to my dad and getting the n3 becuase i have the ipod and xm for it and the n2 does not spport them well. i found this on ebay. Guys looks pretty legit. Just want your thougths.

I am driving a 99 jeep cherokee sport and i am in ct New Haven/Hartford Area.

Yea my gps works fine but XM is a big problem. But since i am going to put one up i may as well do both. I wonder if i can make an encloser for both of them to fit in. Any one have and Ideas? I want to make something sleek and professionl looking.

Do they make a combo antenna. I just added Xm to my N2 and i need to mount the atenna. I thought i say way back they mad a combo. So I onlt have move thing on my roof.

Ok guys and girls. I just finished putting in the new XM for my n2 it is the one with nav trac. Now my question is when i am listeing to the xm i dont get any scroll bars on the a/v screen. Like the only way to move from chanel to chanel is the nob. Is there a way it will list them on the screen? List the channels so i can scroll? I an runnig a n2 with the n3 software would that make a differnce?
