I've did the same update and have had no problems with BT - only difference is that I also did the update to 3.0101 (from Pioneers website). Perhaps you should try this updata and se if it fixes your problem...
-
Thanks, got these maps now Do I put them in when upgrading to 3.0 or can I copy them in after in testmode?
I would upgrade to version 3.0 first, then take the upgrade to version 3.0101 from Pioneers website - and then do the mapupgrade

Looks like I should be looking for newer maps before hacks, what EU maps do people prefer? Are there any that are head and shoulders above the rest or are they much of a muchness?
May be a stupid question, but do the different maps all appear the same, just some are more accurate than others or do the map files dictate how the map is presented on the screen as well as the actual road data etc.
I prefer the TA maps, as they seems to be more up to date with speedlimits and so on. I also had at lot of issues with the previous version of the NA maps (in version 8.0) which seemed to come up with very alternative routes - both here in Denmark both also last time I went to Italy.
If you want to change the appereance of the maps i.e. road and background colors you have to mod the SCHEMES.

I have just installed Tomolas version, updatet it to version 3.010100 from Pioneers EU website and have no problems with either Bluetooth nor TMC - and the buldings (.3dc) show up fine.
Im using the Ezrider version 2.3 and buildings and the generic license file (along with official one). I dont believe there is any way too use updated maps or show buldings if you cant get the hacked Ezrider to work.

Switch to radio and/or unplug your iPod - it should do the trick!
-
so if you already did a hack with the ezrider crack and that newer license, do you simple copy over the new map? also, which map do i need? im gonna be using a lot of the europe maps, but i cant figure out which file i need to download, the otm or whatever
Try looking here http://www.volny.cz/sstopar/mio_mapy_igo8.html
All the maps are compatible with our version of IGO 8.0, and there are both OTM and TA maps. I tried both and havent really noticed any differences besides.

Acutally it seems to be the same old version 1.0.0... Not much fun there...

I suppose the F500 owners will have to wait a bit longer for this one as well, or.....?
Not sure why it took so long to get the software update for F500 last time. I just hope they release it, i'm not sure if they are going to update this model (haven't seen any mention of a hardware update like the other models).
Actually they released the update for the F500 (CNSD-150FM) at the same time...
-
I saw that Pioneer has released a new map and software update (cnsd-100fm) for the F900 on their european website, which among other features seems to have fixed to 2D head up problem.
Does any one know if this is the long awaited "3.0 update", or just a minor fix to the existing software?

Hi Boris,
Now I have the 2008.04 maps but I am still waiting for my AVIC. In between I read in another thread that you can download 2008/07 or 2008/10 on your AVIC.
Is it true? 2008/10 with EZRIDER and license hack?
It 's true - I did the update a few weeks ago, and it works just fine..
I am currently using 2008.10 maps and poi files with 2008.07 3dc/3dl files.

I hacked/changed the colors in the Pioneer standard to match my former Navigon PNA... It looks pretty much like Navigon in city areas, but I havent (yet) changed the dayheightcolor, so It's still a bit off when driving in the "countryside"...
-
Latest working version for Europe is 2008.10 as discussed under another post in this forum. It's not supported by Pioneer and requires a hacked license file - also discussed elsewhere in this forum...
-
Try here for 2008.10 european maps:
http://rapidshare.com/users/55KH8G
Password: ppcwarez
I just tried the danish map and it seems to work alright - so i guess I'll spend the evening downloading the rest of them...
-
Almost all the hacks work on the european models!
Instead of just copying an (almost) complete data.zip from the forum - look at the changes in the individual files and implement them in your own data.zip.
It's it bit more timeconsuming, but you learn at lot more and your european features such as TMS still works without problems!

Nope - but if you search around in this forum and other IGO8 related forums, you will see that there is lots of possible variables that arent used in the stock sys.txt...
fx.: http://www.gpsunderground.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3029
The trick is to figure out how to use them, and I still have a long way to go

Found a solution: Just removed the alpha layer from .bmp files and so far it seems to fix the problem without any other problems...

Is there anyone who knows if you can change the vehicle type/speed that is used for calculating the estimated time of arrival?
It seems to me that the ETA is pretty inaccurate. In my case I usually beat the ETA with about 30-45 minuttes on a 2,5 hour trip - and I am not driving that fast
On my previous Navigon PNA it was possible to change the vehicle speed used for the calculation and I noticed that there are some variables in sys.txt that maybe could help - I just dont know the options for the variables (and if they have anything to do with the issue). The variables are:
vehicle_type=
slow_car_speed
slow_car_multiplactor
fast_car_speed
fast_car_multiplactor

Yes - I did that update a few days ago without any problems...
If you look at the "update history file" on the Pioneer Download site, you will see that the only change is: "Increased the Microphone sensitivity for Bluetooth".
I did'nt have any problems with my Microphone and havent really noticed any difference after the update. On the other side it took quite som time to reestablish my mods afterwards - so in my oponion you should'nt worry to much about not updating. You can always wait for a more significant update...
And sorry - I can't help with the error message as its new to me...

Ok, just want to get an understanding on this. I downloaded the file named "ir" from rapidshare, along with a license. I placed the license in the license folder next to the other one. Now am I to simply copy this onto the flash memory of the AVIC?
If so, will this replace or alter any modifications that may currently be on my unit?
And is my ending result the most updated maps?
(All I really want is an updated map, since there are problems and alot of outdated things with the current map file I am using on my unit.)
Yes - If you copy the licence file and and the hacked eazyrider.exe to the flash memory, you will be able to use updated maps...
But you still have to buy (or find) new maps. If you are not too worried about copyright issues, they can be found on the internet in version 2008.10.
As mentioned elsewhere in this thread make sure to look for IGO8.0 maps, as IGO8.3 wont work.

Hi Peter,
Just change area from UC to EW...
It's the first line in the MapDBinfo.txt (in the MITACAP folder) - you dont have to change anything else
I have the same system installed in my Opel, so it will work with both version 2.0 and a Vauxhall

Hi,
When using the 3d-mode my POI icons er blurred/transparent - in 2d there is no problem.
I am using the branded POIs from this forum, and have tryed changing the DefAlpha value to 32 in the .spr files, but i does'nt seem to solve the problem.
Can anyone help me on this one?
-
Hi Boris,
I noticed that you keep refering to the sys.txt file, but I found that most of the 3d_ variables is also set in the pioneer.ini - at least in the european version of the F900.
What is the difference between these two files?
Avic Theme emulator?

You need to install Windows Virtual PC first (at least if you have Vista)...
