LonestarROB, first I want to say thank for your work. I have to agree with you about the contact and av icons. Maybe just get rid of the book and the cd and it might look better. I am not picky at all, I will keep it like this unless you change it. Thanks again.

IDT, Please take some time for you and your family. No one here wants your all stressed and worried about perfecting your mod for us. You did us all a favor by creating such great work. Your health is more important than this. Please get well soon.

Are you just trying to change your splash Screen? In other words the screen that comes up when you first turn on your system. These instructions came out of the owners manual (page 135 - 136). Hope they help.
Changing the splash screen[/b]
You can change the splash screen that appears
when the navigation system starts. Copy
your favorite image to the external storage device
(USB, SD), and select the image to import.
p Splash screen images should be used within
the following formats;
— BMP or JPEG files
— Allowable horizontal and vertical size
are 2 592 x 1 944 or smaller
— Allowable data size is 15MB or smaller
p Proper compatibility with allowable files is
not guaranteed.
p Imported original images will be stored in
the built-in memory, but the ability to save
these images cannot be guaranteed completely.
If your original image data is deleted,
set the external storage device (USB,
SD) again and re-import the original image.
1 Create a folder named “Pictures” on the
top-most directory of the external storage
device (USB, SD) and store the picture files
in this folder.
2 Insert the SD memory card into the SD
card slot or plug the USB storage device to
the USB connector.
3 Touch [splash Screen] on the “System
Settings” menu.
= For details, refer to Displaying the “System
Settings” menu on page 134.
The navigation system checks the external storage
device (USB, SD). If an appropriate file is
found, the file list will be displayed.
p If there is no “Pictures” folder or loadable
file, a message appears.
p You can switch the list by touching [import
from SD] and [import from USB].
4 Touch the image to use as the splash
screen from the list.
The image is displayed on the screen.
5 Touch [OK].
The image is set as the splash screen, and the
system returns to the “System Settings”
menu.

Hey GTIMatt, i'm new to the forum and i purchased the avic-f90bt the other day and i have all the wiring in, but i was wanting to know just exactly how to bypass the parking brake wire, i've been redoing my system so its all torn apart right now because i'm hiding all my xm and such but i was wondering how to do that bypass, if you could email me or show me a post on here and give good detailed instuctions because it will be annoying if i can't bypass it, thanks man.
if you look on the top of the screen, there is a link to "Wiki". It has it in there. There is also a forum talking about the bypass. Hope this helps.

if you have the software bypass all you have to do is ground the break wire, but be aware that if/when pioneer updates the firmware you might loose the software ability to do a bypass, but till then you are set.
Thanks for that information

Let me understand all of what I have read since December. If I have the software bypass all I need to do is ground my parking brake, or do I need to do the full hardware bypass? I am learning so please forgive my ignorance.

I thought the slow reaction time was just me. I have the IPod Touch 2 Gen and the art work is now clear. Yes, I have the lastest firmware on it as well.
