How do you get full sound using the F500BT, the method outlined in the first post does not work with F500BT.

Just connect the unit to 12 volt supply (yellow cable) and earth (black), the ignition switch cable to red cable. You can get cable connectors that you can connect the power with out cutting the wiring loom of the F500BT.

When I start the car the power supply starts up and the F500BT starts, you can turn the engine off and as long as you don't take the key out you can re-start the car without re booting the unit.

When you take the key out of the ignition the unit will stay powered up for 1 minute, I simply press the power button to turn it off.

Hi Ive had the same problem of rebooting, I have a Skoda Octavia Diesel.

I measured the voltage whilst starting the car, and it dips whilst starting.

The way the F500BT works is it detects a change in the 5 volt supply to turn it on/off.

The 5 volt was also effected whilst starting, so I have installed a Carnetix power supply to generate the 5 volts required.

Does anyone know how to set the defaults for the Equalizer and Random mode, I want to start up with Equalizer = Jazz and Random Mode on.

The other thing i did was to delete the files in the language and voice directories that way no files actually get copied there fore less problems should occur I hope.

Today I updated my systen to 2.001000 so I guess my sys.txt file is not what you want now.

No I hava a uk model, when you try to boot up in test mode it would pop up a dialog box, showing the mapinfodb.txt info.

When you change the mapinfodb.txt to settings above it will boot up into testmode.

Downloaded installed works ok.

F500BT European version 2.001000 is available on the European Pioneer website.

It worked for me ok I changed the version number = 1.000700 (you should check your map version).

and changed the Area to EW

Also I deleleted the contents of the lang and voice directories.

A question for you do you have problem with your unit losing the complete song list, I have a problem that occasionally I end up with only one song listed per directory.

I have now found that if I power the unit up from standby and then press the power button to close it down as soon as possible. I get the problem hilited above just one song per folder ?

I have a FB500BT when I start my car the unit often powers down and

I have to press the power on button to restart it.

The trouble is after this has occured I only have one song listed in each folder, to get the full list again I then have to reboot the AVIC to get the full List which takes around 1 minute.

Has any one got a fix for this ?

Ive installed the latest European firmware for the F500BT.

It now has version 1.002000

I'm still seeing the Blue Rectangles on the sceen is this correct or has my update failed to instal correctly ?

Ive tried to run the the testmode but I get an error Dialog box displayed.
