Pull the fuse that keeps memory on the avic at your fuse box let it sit for 3-5 minutes and it should work u don't need to unplug the Sirius uni. You see the Avic keeps memory of the issue of the problem but pulling the fuse erases that memory and walla good luck

is there a way to copy these to send out cuz i can open the folders also have media # and password

yes thats correct you lose your onstar communication thats why i did cars that had the mic ready for onstar or people that did not have a onstar account active but have onstar equipment

i've done lots of cars with stock oem mics and yes it works great especially the onstar mics because they have noise cancelation

well got it going again i totally diconnected the battery and let it sit like that for about 10 minutes, reconnected the battery and walla sirius worked again i dunno how but it worked. its funny cuz i disconnected the hu from everything even the antenna and had the same prob. but oh well it works now

sirius stuck on ch. 50 and no sound for sirius but other sources are fine i changed sirius reciever and still nothing anybody have answers

illumination positive will work unless you turn off your dash lights at night than hu goes into day mode, don't make it harder for yourself when the wire is right there in front of you.

they do make someting called a power tamer my current job is building and modifying police, emergency, and federal vehicles. what this does is once you turn the key on the power tamer is activated and when you turn off the car the timer starts and you can set it from 30 min. to 4 hours. so the output side of the power tamer can hook up to the ignition wire of avic and you cap off the ign. on the car side. you can hook up variuos other after market electronics this device. on the cars i do the power tamer is running our custom fuse panels by turning on and leaving on a 150 amp military grade electronic relay for certain amount of time.

should i put on the sd card testmode and metcap with a mod program and see if it goes in cuz i just been doing just the first two no mod and its testmode on top of list on the sd card than metacap on the bottom. right?

on my pc it copies everything to the sd but the mapinfo......its a text file i think

alright i downloaded testmode from the sticky and i noticed some text file cannot be transfered and its called mapdbinfo i think i know i mention it in the beginning . i'm using windows vista 32 bit i tried winrar and winzip i have a scandisk sd card at 2g now the only thing i thinl is different is i work for a car audio place and i went to go buy the 700bt from our warehouse i did not get the new 2.0 version so my rep had a stack of sd cards with ver.2.0 that came from pioneer its labeled pioneer gxy1046 ver 2.0 which is probably the same on thier website

usa and also downloaded testmode twice from here and tried nothing do you think some one can walk me through it on the phone if some one pm me with there #.

ok do i put on the sd card metacap and the testmode folders seperately or the one folder that contains both onto the sd card .cuz i have been doing it seperately.

ok bought a 2g sandisk, formatted at FAT it took it perfect i think cuz i didn't get that screen that i mentioned before but still does not load in to avic700 does it do it auto matic or what. i have the car off , i put the card in and turn on deck and i get no blue screen it just loads normal like it has no card in its slot.

ok the mapdbinfo cannot be copied to sd card that is what vista says and that was on the testmode folder the metacap went to sd fine so i clicked ok on pc . i also downloaded winrar and it did the samething. i guess i have a crappy sd card and the card is lexar 512MB
