  1. Yes, if anyone knows please post up. That's what is stopping me from working anything. I just can't stand that plain looking main menu. There are 3 background images in that folder so there has to be a way to use them.

Are you asking where are the 3 Main Icon files?

No, the .ui file that controls the layout of that main menu. Basically what I'm trying to do is figure out if placing the background behind the icons is possible.

  3. I don't know if I would use Invisible Glass on my LCD's but I love that stuff and use it on the car to clean anything.

Surely it is less harsh than alcohol?

I didn't say I would use alcohol ... EVER

I'd rather use IG than any other cleaning solution, manufacturer "approved" or not. Clean warm water is all I would use.

  4. Actually it's really easy to turn off, it's in the radio menu under GALA, just set it to 0 (not that it matters as you don't have the factory headunit in anymore).

The only way to turn it off on a B6 is to do harness bypass on the amp it self and I believe you have to do something with the mic as well. There is a TSB out there for it. It requires removing a lot of things in the trunk so I just gave up on it. Also, it's cabin noise that drives it not speed.

  5. Basically data.zip will follow the same directory structure on your PC and Avic. So if on your PC it's in .../APL2/iGo it will be the same on the Avic. data.zip already exist on the unit so make sure you back that one up before loading the new one. You could just rename it and leave it there for easy changover in case something goes wrong.

I doesn't matter where you put it on the SD card. Root (top directory) if preferred for easy of access.
