I am using an older mod of yours, and to be honest I didn't like the angle of the 3d view with the sky, or the fact that it tracks automatically to 2d when in 3d mode. As I said I hadn't looking into fixing this apart from checking settings and fiddling a bit and it's all personal preference in the end. What I like isn't what the next fella is going to like.

 

Your mods are loved by many and make a big difference to the stock product. I hope you can keep up your hardwork because you seem to enjoy it and have a big following on AVIC411.

non taken, just surprised that after everything i get something like this, all the mods i've made have been created to suit users suggestions, features extracted from various mods and scripts i made myself that took i don't how many hours to figure/implement, all mods in this forum are created by users who wanted to improve a unit that has so many flaws and share it with others, i've dedicated so many hours of coding and testing to get my mods running and provided support to users who needs it, well i guess my point is atleast show that you appreciate the mod even if it doesnt suit you,

Hey Guys, Another question. Is there any way to change what the buttons do either on the screen, or the physical buttons?

 

ie: the volume button when pushed used to load the voice command, and now instead mutes the navigation voice.

Is there a way to remap that back?

 

OR

instead of the green phone on the right loading the phone settings window, maybe load the voice command?

for voice command (pressing the knob) to work you have to first click the av button, i have not figured out a way to make the knob to work without the currently playing music or the button being displayed

I am using your mod, Abb's img.res, & DPdurst schemes, I changed the values to 79 from 74 in the data file but it did not take care of the multipoi diamond, is this because I did not change the branding zip? The one in your mod has all the icons so I thought I could just change the value to 79 but no luck, I also added this code from N-S-E-W

I had this working but I reinstalled everything and just didn't want to change the branding zip if not necessary, because I have to reassign almost every icon, again.....

 

VBLUE42 says it should work unless something in your mod is different, I dunno

i have not tried that fix as i don't have the poi's turned on, i didn't change any coding regarding that so i don't think it's the mod, i will try to find out for you, i'll try to be online atleast once or twice a month if i could so if there's any updates or anything that i modified on my skins i'll post them up,

I just did a complete upgrade of firmware 3.02 and the IDT Skin#2 mod. Everything seems to be okay except now I get the windows startup sound when the system starts. Any ideas on how to get rid of this?

First off good luck at the new job. Secondly, yes people, this guy deserves a couple bucks for his work here. Give him some incentive to come back eventually.

 

Lastly, I don't have this tab (custom) in my settings screen? Any idea where I can find it. I did see in the Nav settings, there is a welcome notification or something in the area where you change the navigation text colors. Is that it? Cause it is on, but I am not getting a windows start up sould like I was earlier in the week when the problems went awry.

yes, rename what ever start up sound you want to use to !welcome and place it in the audio folder inside data.zip

IDT, thank you, rebuilding my APL2 on the computer and transferring worked. I even put the NavTeq maps, so the map changer works great too. I really appreciate all the work you have done here sincerely. I am sure the AVIC world here will miss your abilities and hopefully you will be back eventually.

i'm buying my friends notebook for a very cheap price and i think that would be good enough for now to use for modding, i have so many ideas that i want to implement on all of my skins but kinda busy looking for a job so might have to put it on hold for now

can you tell me what causes the system and navi settings to be locked, it has happened before after adding mods but it usually unlocks after a few minutes but last night i went back to a virgin 3.0 and then upgraded to 30.2 and i haven't had access to the 2 menus since. I want to make a factory 3.02 backup and then mod from there so i can have an up to date backup to revert to.

the only thing i could think of is that you need to do the software bypass on the 3.02, everytime pioneer updates they tend to iclude virgin copies of everything

download textmode v2.3 and extract it to a freshly formatted SD, insert it to your unit, once booted copy all the contents of myflashdisk to your storage card

No, not using this theme i don't think, been awhile since I used it. I did add the sun and moon last year and thought there was a gfx folder in there, maybe not.

 

 

I think I will just redo another apl2 fodler on my computer loading the data and sys and maps, etc...then just replace the one on the AVIC with that one and see what happens, something is corrupt and i don't know what it is .
