Ok Great thanks.
My next question is how do I get the unit out? I can take the facia off but I'm a little stuck at this point. Do I need a special tool to unclip it?
Cheers

Just recently my microphone has stopped working and no one can hear me when making or receiving calls. Can someone answer some questions? Firstly where is the mic on the 900BT? is it built into the unit or is it a plug in type that will be located somewhere in the car. If its the later maybe the mic wire plug has come undone on the back of the unit.
Any suggestions how to fix appreciated.
Pete
p.s My unit came preinstalled when I bought my car from new.

Yep, tried turning off the autozoom.
Maybe there's some default settings that it reverts to when you've gone through a roundabout, these need to be changed. I have hacked the tilt level so I can tilt enough to see the sky, maybe that's where my problem is.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks

I get my tilt level and zoom setting to what I like but as soon as I come across a roundabout the settings change. I have turned off the 'Zoom In' function and the 'Overview' function but the view still changes.
Is there anyway I can fix my perfect map view settings?

Thought I'd help out by posting the following regarding 'Snap to Road'. I had no idea what the phrase meant so I Googled it and found the following, it may help others understand a little better if they wish to install the hack.
Snap to Road (a.k.a. as Lock to Road)This is a feature used by all high-end navigation systems to ensure that your position is shown on a road and not a few millimeters next to it, something that most people would consider distracting. The downside to this is that when reception is bad, your GPS position can be too erroneous to enable the program to interpret it correctly and as a result it might get confused and "snap" you to the wrong road and re-route you. I've seen this happen with Destinator (in NMEA mode) but also with Garmin's GPS V standalone unit.
Still this is a feature that's desirable. AFAIK only two programs currently do not implement it, Teletype and Mapopolis

Hi dumpystig,
I've discovered that what shows on screen depends on the compatibility of your phone with the unit.
I have a Sony Ericsson W890i, on my F900BT the contacts are displayed individually on screen, i.e Sam Mobile, Sam Home, Sam Work. On my phone the different numbers are stored within the name under the different categories. I recently bought a Sony Ericsson T303, popped in my sim, synchronised with the F900BT and only the first number appeared within contacts and none of the other numbers I had stored. It also had the surname and forenames back to front and some muddled characters. So totally depends on the type of phone you have and compatibility as to what shows on the unit.

And Peterm69, do you mind sharing your Radar Ping file? I played around with some of the others I saw linked from here, and they seemed equally annoying so I never changed it. Would love to try one easier on the ears.
I can't attach .wav files so pm me your email and I'll send it to you.

Hi whoopidoo2,
The dog barking was one of the first things I changed when I bought my unit, it is annoying. There are no options to give you just one warning, only the option to change the distance to the camera before being warned.
approach(lot's of barks) - Obviously tells you your approaching a camera, speeding or not.
Simple (few barks) - Sounds only when over the speed limit when approaching a camera.
Your best options are to either turn the alert off or change the !alert5.wav file to something you like. I've changed mine to a 'Radar Ping' sound which is pleasing on the ear.
If you choose to change the sound file remember to keep it short, I found a longer sound file overlaps, i.e starts playing again before it has stopped playing, all you get it a scrambled mess, a one second sound clip should be ok.

Thanks dumpystig for the file update, speedcam box looks a lot better now.

Thanks to both of you, I reduced my settings to:
3dcarsizemin=5000
3dcarsizemax=7000
3dcarsizemul=30000
Looks great.

Cheers Dumpstig & Beachbum,
My default values are
3dcarsizemin=6000
3dcarsizemax=8000
3dcarsizemul=40000
I'll try reducing them and let you know how it goes.

Hi BorisM,
Yes I am, I thought the same and checked the same camera in both directions. Sometimes it shows 30mph and other times 40mph.
I get free camera updates from here:
http://www.speedcamupdate.com/pioneer
Is there some way to check the camera location in a file on the F900BT?

Hi dumpystig,
Seems like you worked this one out and I wanted to ask if you could tell me what I need to alter to move my box from bottom left to the centre of the screen. I dont want to enlarge it of change any colors, just want it moved.
Can you help?
Cheers

Still having problems, can anyone help?
A 30mph camera showed correctly yesteday but showed 40mph today.

Doesnt the master volume control the warning sound when approaching speed cameras? I like to know I'm approaching a camera without looking at the screen, so I think this can be the only problem turning down the master sound. Not 100% sure, I'll test it out today.

for mine, i just went into the sounds folder and made a new folder (left it titled 'new folder') and simply dragged and dropped the 4 wav files into it.
I did the same, so glad to get rid of those beeps.
Cheers everyone.

I have a strange problem that I hope someone can help me with. I encounter several speed cameras on my way to work, one being a 30mph camera which showed as 40mph on my F900bt. Fine I thought, the data is outdated but yesterday it showed correctly as 30mph and today went back to 40mph. I've had several similar situations, one being a 40mph showing as 60mph but on my return it showed correctly.
Is this a known problem? is there any advice to correct this?
Cheers

Hi Guys,
I should have searched but since finding this forum a month ago I've not come across such a thread and I've gone through 100's of posts, although not specifically searching for an answer to my last post.
CatchMeIfYouCan631, I appreciate you not shooting me down, thanks for your answer, lets hope a hack is found soon, it drives me mad.

Has anyone got a hack for removing the warning screen before entering into the map view?
It's such a pain to have to press the OK button to move on so I can view the map upon turning on the ignition.
Any ideas how to remove this screen/instruction?
Cheers

Thanks guys.
It's a Vauxhall Corsa. Called the cars dealers and they're coming out tomorrow to fix it. It's under warranty so I thought they should deal with it.
Cheers again.
