  1. What have I done wrong?

    I followed the directiosn to a "T".

Plugged in iPhone, Carplay logo appears on phone. Get nag message on headunit that carplay is loading... Then nothing, Nada.

Checked my settings, etc. All is fine.

    Can run Pandora, etc.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

  2. I'd second this. Even after months of using the mod I have very little idea what many of the settings really do, or what I am really doing. Losing the 3d map for ages only to be told you can change the view pressing the compass springs to mind.

    What is AutoKarta?

How do you get the tilst settings to stick?

Do the MPG calculations use US or Imperial gallons?

    etc...

Add a big ol' me too to this string. Has anyone documented this?

  3. FWIW, I did the install (twice), ten copied all the Map and POI files from my backup of another F500BT that was updated via Pio. Those are the latest for this unit and are dated 9/10-09 except for the 8/13/08 basemap. They work fine.

Thanks for the quick response. But I'm talking about getting an official map update from Pioneer, which, I assume has system and program updates. Anybody done this?

  4. Diaftia - You don't know how long I've been waiting for this update (I took some time off of the site to work on other stuff). Does this one also get rid of the nag screen?

I'm thinking of buying a map update from pioneer - my last one is a couplke of years old. I have an F90BT.

My question is, which should I do first? Update the maps or update the last version of your mods?

Look for some beer (PayPal) money coming your way. :D

  5. I have an F90BT. Is there a way to preload a custom route into the unit prior to starting out on a trip? Before everyone starts peppering me with the obvious, I want to be able to create a custom route that may or may not be the shortest route. Kind of like Google where I can drop off main roads and take back roads, etc. Is that like creating a multi-point route :?:

  6. Hey ABB -

Looks like you're the defacto moderator of thispost. :D

Do you know if anyone has incorporated the fuel caclulator on Diaftia's mod?

If so, any interest in sharing how to do it?

The only person that has done that is me. There is an entire thread on the subject in the Hacks/Mods section, and the rules all apply to this mod as well with precise instructions. It is not easy, you have to know the coding in the UI, or at least be familiar with it.

Well that takes me out of the running... Too noob. :(

If (perhaps when) Diaftia creates a V3, perhpas it will be included. Sigh

  7. I installed the AVIC F90BT in my 2006 Chevy Avalanche.

I'm not using OnStar, but I'd like to be able to use the GPS signal from their antennae versus placing the Pioneer provided hockey puck in my windshield.

Has anyone done this successfully? I read a hack on a different site about soldering into the OnStar, blah, blah, blah...

But I'd like to be able to resell the truck at some point without having to explain what I did (and possibly backing all of it out).

Is there another way? Perhaps an RS232 cable conversion to fit into the back of the unit? I'd gladly buy it... Just point me in the right direction.

  8. upd 15.12.2009 update for 3.020200 version, UC or EW.

fixed CommonLib.dll for MAP button or map icons, and no parking warning

fixed MainMenu.exe - only for power-up warning, via press MAP button after two seconds

    (need fixed CommonLib.dll for work)

fixed SystemSetting.exe - for Pioneer DEBUG MODE in System Information tabs

    [/b]

my f90bt always show me error screen, so, i always need press OK twice.

i don't understand, how to disable both nag screen.

for first - i can edit speed setting in config file, but for second error - no any way at search.

so, i found 3 screen for navi warning at my avic

    map

    destination

    setting->navi

but in avic software i just found and skipped only first two screen,

also my avic UC (US) version, so it can tested only at UC software.

guys, if anybody has time, please test. thanks.

    Carver -

I have an F90BT (US) running Diaftia's mods on v3.020200. I copied the 3 files to my APL directory, and still got the nag screen. So, then I tried just copying the commonlib.dll, and it still didn't work. What am i doing wrong?

BTW - both times it asked me to update my system settings. Is that normal? Should I say yes or no to this prompt?

    Thanks,

  9. Alex -

Still enjoying this latest set of mods. One thing that my old factory GPS used to do that I'd like to see on the F90BT is what happens if I don't hit any buttons during the boot sequence. In other words, if I didn't hit okay on the nag screen within 60 seconds, it would switch to a screensaver (clock). If I wanted to navigate, I'd touch the screen, and it'd bring me back to the nag screen.

Think this is do-able? Especially cool with MSN Direct running...

That screen (to hit OK at the prompt) is a function of the commonlib.dll. You can see carvers thread on how to remove that nag screen altogether. If its removed via editing the code in that binary I am sure the redirect would be part of it too. I loaded his stuff and it always goes to the last screen I used. In my case usually the map.

    Alex -

Tried copying the commonlib.dll from carver, and still get a nag screen. Tried it by itself and with the two other files. What location did you download the files from? Any suggestions as to what I may be doing differently?

  11. Has anyone asked for the speed warning scale to be changed form percentages to actual mph over the speed limit? How about on city streets vs highways?

Where I live, drivers regularly drive 9 - 14 mph over the speed limit on the highway, but i'd like to be warned differently if I'm say 4 mph over the speed limit in the city.

    Just a thought....

Hmmm... I will look into it. I see your point. 10% of 65MPH is 6.5 MPH but still. Sucks to have to do math.

NM - found it under alerts. Just had to keep playing.

Great MOD btw. Sent you a little something.
