  1. Boris -

I like what you've done. One thing I miss from v2.0 of the software was street names. I'm using your Old School theme by day, but none of them work at night (I get the same missing file error as others).

Here is what I would like (and am willing to pay for). Can you point me to where I can download all of the files and instructions for a 3D scheme (for both day and night) that gives as much street detail as possible at 1,000 feet and above? I used the one located at ftp://buckeyecollision.us/ColorSchemes/ and the night schemes don't work.

    Much thanks -

  2. I've been using the color scheme Old-School-Day from Buckeye , and it seems to be working fine. I get quite a bit of detail in 3D.

When I tried to use the night version, however, it crashed my system (one of the .spr files). I'm not savvy enough to figure out which setting is off. Anyone else want to try their hand at it?

  3. Version: 3.01

    Model: F90

Legitimate: Was it ordered from Pioneer? Yes

Opinion: Marginal improvement over 2.0. MSN Direct upgrade was a pleasant surprise.

    Possible Improvements:

    - Slow boot-up. I am still out of my driveway and down 2 blocks before radio/map work

    - Need to work on the presets for HD radio. Does not show station names. Why have blank buttons? Either capture the station ID, or make them edit-able

    - HD radio data should scroll/rotate. Change from station to artist to song to text. Don't force users to click through different pieces of info

    - STREET NAMES in 3D. OMG what have they done??? you have to zoom into '500 feet to be able to see them. You should be able to see them regardless. The further you zoom out, the less detail you see (only major roads at higher elevations). Definitely much worse in 3.01 vs 2.0. This is a MUST FIX!!!

    - need more OOB color schemes beyond red and blue

Start on this list, and i'll be sure to get you some more....

  4. When I went to copy these files into APL2-iGo, I did not see folders for "content" or "speedcams" do i have to create these folders, or if they reside in the root of APL2-iGo it will still work?

Maybe take another look, Inside the iGo folder there should already be a folder named content which contains the speedcam folder. You shouldn't need to create these folders. If you don't have the content folder for some reason, pm me and I can get it to you.

    Boots -

I tried to send you a PM, but my machine has a mind of its' own. The message is stuck in my outbox.

Please send me the "contents" folder. I can't locate them in my iGo folder.

    Mucho thanks -

When all else fails, read. I got it.

  6. 10. Go back to your SD card explorer window hit the back button at top of the screen and then go to the folder titled "Copy and Paste in APL2-iGo-Content-Speedcam" and open it

    11. Scroll and Copy 3 files here Red_Light_Camera_us.txt, Speed_Trap.txt, and SpeedcamUpdates.spud

    12. Now switch back to your Flashdisk explorer window and now click on Content, Speedcams EDIT - PASTE - YES ALL (Really, you made that backup?)

    Alex -

Incredible mods - haven't tested all aspects, but so far it looks phenomenal! I did have a question though.

    Thanks!

  7. I am as green a newbie as they come. Bought my F90 BT a few months back with v2.0, and just updated the software and maps this past week I just knew there had to be a way to improve on this thing. Voila, here it is.

This must be my new home for the next 6 months.

I read some of the cautions. Does anyone have a step by step guide for someone as green as me to do all of this (including files or their locations)?

    Much obliged.

    Hey Lou-

Welcome to the board. Its been my crack for the last several months. ;)

If you download the zip file in my first post there is a word document with detailed instructions on how to update these files on your system. Whatever you do just make sure you take a backup of your current (stock) config before you touch any files. If all else fails and you do not like what is going on with your system then you can just restore that backup and start over again.

    Good luck!

    Alex

    Thanks Alex -

Perhaps I wasn't clear. I am a real green newbie...

Is the FLASHDISK the update I just received, or something else (not sure where I put all of the original documentation)?? Do I create this on an SD card?

Step 4 - The sky only shows when you change the tilt level in 3D right?

I can hardly wait to get home and try this!

    THANKS!
