Hi All,

 

I recently purchased the Z3 upgrade HD from ebay. When i installed it, my Z1 didn't boot up, it said "cannot use HDD". I wish i would have read this forum before I purchased the HD from Ebay. Has anybody seen the problem before? I'm going to send the HD back, but before i do I was wondering if there was a fix to this issue?

yes I have, contact your ebay seller and have them ship you a new hdd. ive that that happened to me multiple times, something is wrong with either unlocking the hdd or imaging. if you paid for it, get it right. good luck!

cool man you are the best but the usb portion of the cable is not "required" to stream video via composite right?

thanks, but the usb portion of the cable will be useless right because there no place on the unit to connect to right or is there?

going back to a similar question, i would like to connect my zune and ipod touch to my z1 (upgraded to z3) via AV composite so I can stream video. I have done it in the past but I have noticed that some of the cables are quiet different now. would something like this one work? thanks

where to find? I need one for my 350z!!! I want something that will fix the static problem after installing the old avic-z1. I called pioneer and they said that I should need one. any directions? thanks!

well I have a '06 350z w/ the same issues described above.... I dont think I need a new battery.

Well I did on my Z1... i dont know if it applies to Z2 as well. I love my unit more than ever now.

Oh I cant believe it but yeah, after bluetooth update everything works just great, voice/bluetooth & bypass. Awesome.

hows it going there buddy. once you get your unit installed let me know how you grounded the wires cause for some reason my park lights dont work no more after the bypass. I gotta take it back to the guy I paid to have it bypassed. post some pictures of your car as well. thanks.

ok. i received the bluetooth update in the mail today from pioneer and gave it a try. After that, I decided to the reset the unit and its been working pretty good ever since, incluiding bypass. Now I have a question do I need to flash the lights every time I start the car? And what happens if I dont flash the lights at one time, will I have to reset the unit again? Cause that sucks.

 

BTW: mine was built in june of 2006.

what about the built date. maybe mine is not bypassable. right? i have to check into it.

I was wrong. the bypass did not work. I actually paid someone to do the bypass for me but I guess my unit doesnt work well with it. sorry everyone for any confusion.

actually the update applied on my unit is the one listed by the thread starter. it is dated march of 2007.

I dont know if this was posted before but for some reason I was not able to bypass the unit till I updated it two days ago with the gracenote patch released back in march. I didnt know that was supposed to affect the unit in any way. Can anybody confirm this? Thanks.
