  1. Matt, Having kph and mph both in the datazip would be a great thing to have. The system does have a setting to display kph or mph or ft or meters so maybe there could you could code it to say if setting is in mph use mph voice, if setting is in kph use kph voice? Is that possible? Then it wouldn't matter what speed system your country used.
  2. Matt, Yes. I started with your original data.zip, and I think you modified it later. I'm just not sure how or where. People keep asking for it to be incorporated into the kph version.
  3. Matt, can we update the kph version with your new direction code? Then I think they will be the same and everyone should be happy.
  4. Wiske80 it's all ready to download now with the updated code for 100kph. http://rapidshare.com/files/213722048/transportm.ttf in the same folder as the data.zip Just going for a drive to test my software bypass and the new speed limit sign.
  5. It's already on rapidshare ready to download with the kph voices (check out my post on Page 2). It's only missing GTIMatt's change for the 100kph sign which I will upload tomorrow. It's based on his original data.zip so other requested mods won't be in there yet.
  6. Cheers Matt, I've changed that code and will test tomorrow. I can also confirm that the kph audio files work great on my fake 40kph speed camera at the end of the street. It's great to have a spoken warning rather than beeping. Thanks for your help getting it working. Also you mentioned this in an earlier post "The traffic screen is called up by pressing the icon next to the current street name" What icon should I be looking for? Do I have to have a route selected to get the TMC icon? I'm currently pulling my car to bits to ground the handbrake, much to the amusement of my wife
  7. Matt, One tiny problem I've come across for us annoying kph folk is that 100kph doesn't quite fit in the red circle anymore. What's the best solution? Make the sign bigger or small numbers? Michael
  8. Sorry mate it's based on the original file he uploaded. Maybe if you ask GTIMatt nicely he might put that mod into the kph datazip for you.
  9. Matt, Thanks for checking it for me. I just used your script without the ">". I'm learning as I go! Thanks for explaining it to me I understand it much better now. I've uploaded that data.zip http://rapidshare.com/files/213343272/DATA.ZIP and deleted the old one.
  10. I've just finished modifying GTIMatt's data.zip with kph sounds as per his original spec. Australia has a number of differing speed limits so I've increased the number of files from 30kph (any slower and you could get a ticket walking) through to 110kph in 10kph increments. I haven't tested it yet and also I don't know if I have got it right because I haven't done much data.zip modification. I will be loading it on my unit tomorrow morning and I will make a test speed camera on a nearby street corner. Maybe you could give it the once over Matt to make sure I haven't stuff it up. I hope
  11. You can set different increments in the EW version, but that setting is not available in the US version. I checked in the US manual and with a few US F900BT users. Oh and mentioned previously my Aussie F900BT doesn't seem to be locked to one region. It has no problems playing Region 2 & 4 DVDs. It might be different for NTSC & PAL DVDs but I don't have any NTSC ones to test.
  12. Matt, Had a drive with your data.zip today. It's very good. Clean and easy to read and it has everything on the screen. I've made kph ogg files as per yours and uploaded them into the same location (I deleted the mph ones) and I've called them 0_30kph.ogg, 0_40kph.ogg 0_50kph.ogg etc. Do I need to update any scripts to work with the new kph.ogg files? I don't have many speed cameras near my house to test it on but I want to make sure i've set it up right so that I can go for a big drive and test it out on a few redlight cameras. Also is there any other areas that you modified t
  13. akkasoglu, I think the lane information appears when you upgrade the maps. I've just update my Aussie maps from V14 to V15.1 thanks to 34by151 and the lane information appear automatically. I was using a stock data zip. Thanks Matt for the audio files. When I get them done I'll upload them if that's okay so that any other kph folk can use it.
  14. Matt, Would love the sound files I can have them. I just put on my unit and the speed and alt all shows in kms and meters which is great. I can play with the sound files when I have time. Do I need to activate the speed warning in settings for it to play the ogg files or is it all built into the data zip. Thanks for you help. Michael
  15. Hi Matt, I love the mod you've done and I'm going to try it on my Australia F900BT. It's the best looking one I've seen yet. Just one question? Will the ogg speed files you've added still work in kph?
  16. I'm here. If you are asking for my firmware I have a F900BT, not a F700. The F700BT isn't sold here sadly. Also I have a damn slow internet connection (thank telstra for that one). Surely someone with a EU unit can upload their flash disk contents? Would be a lot quicker.
  17. Just downloaded the US manual and that settings isn't there. Also Crutchfield have a nice specs sheet for the F900BT US model and it specifically says that it won't "European Tune". Sorry Guys.
  18. On my version you Press the main menu button. Down the bottom right under AV source is a settings button. Press it. The next screen on mine has Navi Settings, System Settings, AV settings, AV sound. Select AV settings. The next screen has AV1 Input, AV2 input, Ant Ctrl, Wide Mode at the top, then Mute Input/Guide, rear SP, AM step, FM step. Select FM Step and change to 100k. You'll probably find it's set to 200k. Note that you have to turn off any music/DVD being played or the last 5 boxes appear grayed out. Does this setting appear? Your menu's might be slight different but this
  19. There is a setting that you can change the radio frequency stepping? It's under settings, av settings, and down the rightside at the bottom is FM stepping. Mine is an Australian model and is set to 100. Let me know if yours is different. PS You will have to make sure that your audio is off to change this setting. If the radio, USB, ipod or DVD is playing the boxes will be grayed out.
  20. My Aussie F900BT uses CE V5.0

    back up

Hi, I got my unit backed up okay. If you are having problems make sure your card is formated in FAT. I don't think it would matter if it was FAT16 or FAT32. Also remember that the unit changes the colours used for day/night. I started playing with my system in testmode during the day, then finished the mods at night. When I restarted the system the maps were full of black portions and I was a tad worried something was wrong, but this is normal. The next morning it was all back to using the normal colours. Hope this helps.
  22. My F900bts destination screen is like this. Australia (the country) Queensland (the state) Suburb (which has to be entered first) Street (which I can't select unless a suburb is entered)
  23. Hi, I have an F900BT (Australian Version) and would like to know if there is a way to search by street name? Currently I have to enter a suburb and then type in the street name. The problem is that sometimes I don't know the suburb but I do know the street name but the system won't let me enter a street name until the suburb has been entered. I used to beable to do this with my old Navman PDA and I find it really limiting on the F900BT. I need to reference a map to find out where I want to go when the unit has a full list of every street in Queensland. FYI, yes I have searched f
  24. Have a look here http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... e&start=15 The search function on this site isn't very user friendly so I can understand why you can't find it again. I used the above tutorial but I sync'd my mobile with outlook, then exported all contacts to a csv file. I edited the csv in excel, and made a new row for contacts with more than one number and put a number in the dwType column for each type of contact. ie 0 = General, 1 = Home, 2 = Work, 3 = Mobile. I renamed the headers in notepad to the same headers in the .db file, edited the phone numbers to remove
  25. I have the F900BT AU version installed without the bypass. I bought it without any research and didn't know about the bypass until I found this forum. You can watch a DVD in the back while the GPS is running up the front. I use the car speaker to play the DVD over, you can also run the audio to the rear screens speakers if you have that facility I think. One problem you will find is the the unit mutes the DVD to give directions, but you can change this I think. Just search the forums. You might want to do the bypass anyway if you want to beable to input any new addresses while driv
