Found the solution to this problem, Sent an E-mail PAC technical dept which they responded very quickly (too bad Pioneer doesn't follow the same response guide lines...lol...) , the reason the presets keep rotating is the steering wheel interface acc wire needs to be connected to the acc wire on the 700BT, which makes sense and not to another acc source
-
It's in an 06 GMC Silverado, had to use Pac module for the Boss premium and Onstar and yes a Pac steering wheel control, but I noticed it started doing it's crazy preset rotation before I had the steering wheel control hooked up.
At first that's what I thought so I unplugged it to eliminate it.

Well by the looks of this problem this could be a first.
Did the 3.0 upgrade and now when I shut off my truck the radio still plays till the door is opened which is normal but now my system now beeps and rotates through either FM preset channels or my Satellite preset channels until the door is opened and the system shuts down.
Did any updated on my son's system and all when well and so I thought on mine.
any help or thoughts
thanks

Thats not the 3.0 update... they just copied whats on the website right now for 2.06
yup pretty much, looks like someone was too damn lazy to give an honest answer to a concerning question, guess time will tell

Free Firmware Update (Version 2.006) Now Available for AVIC-F Series in-dash navigation systems
July 8, 2009
Dear Valued Pioneer Customer:
We would like to inform you of the availability of a NEW free firmware update (version 2.006; released in June 2009) for the AVIC-F Series in-dash navigation systems (AVICF90BT, AVIC-F900BT, and AVIC-F700BT). This firmware update is not for the AVIC-F500BT/AVIC-LINC, which will be updated by a separate firmware update. In addition, this firmware update applies only to models sold in Canada.
This firmware update (version 2.006) contains important performance improvements relating to Automatic Time Correction, updated XM channel icon graphics, and enhanced reliability during firmware update process.
This notice explains how to obtain the free firmware update and how to determine if the firmware update has already been installed on an AVIC-F90BT, AVIC-F900BT, or AVICF700BT.
Even if you are not currently experiencing any issues with your AVIC F-Series in-dash system, we still recommend that you install the free firmware update. Installation of the update should take approximately ten minutes to complete.
HOW TO OBTAIN THE FREE FIRMWARE UPDATE:
Pioneer is offering the following four options for consumers to obtain the free firmware update:
- 1 Download the free update to a computer from here: AVIC-F90BT, AVIC-F900BT, AVIC-F700BT, and transfer the update to an SD card for insertion into the AVIC-F Series system; OR
- 2 Order by phone a SD card containing the free update by calling Pioneer Customer Service toll free at 1-877-283-5901; OR
- 3 Arrange for an in-dash AVIC-F Series system to be shipped to Pioneer for installation of the free update by calling Pioneer Customer Service toll free at 1-877-283-5901.
HOW TO DETERMINE IF THE FIRMWARE UPDATE HAS ALREADY BEEN INSTALLED:
To determine if the new firmware update has already been installed on an AVIC-F90BT, AVIC-F900BT, or AVIC-F700BT, please power on the system and do the following:
1 Press the "Menu" button; then touch the "Settings" tab;
2 Touch the "System Settings" tab; then touch the "Service Information" tab;
3 The "Map version" number and the "Version" number are both displayed -- please look at the "Version" number, which is displayed on the lower line; and
4 If the "Version" number is "2.000000" or an earlier/smaller number, please install the new firmware update. If the "Version" number is "2.006000" or a later/larger number, the system has already been updated with the new firmware.
QUESTIONS:
If you have any questions, please contact the Pioneer Customer Service Center at 1-877-283-5901. Pioneer service representatives are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Eastern Time).
Sincerely,
Pioneer Electronics of Canada, Inc.

My Motorola Q Global with AT&T connects just fine to F90BT. Problem is when I call other people and get VM, I lose the onscreen controls I still here and able to talk and leave a message but now I have to use the phone itself to end the call.
Been having the same problem with my Q as well, found that if you shut off the phone and restart it, it works great the bottom screen giving you the volume screen and hang up buttons come up till the next time you shut down & power up your F700, not sure if it's a problem with the Q or the F700 with the issue.
Would be great to actual find an answer form Pioneer or maybe Parrot as Pioneer is using their software in the AVIC series

I have searched and read all I can find on the topic, at times I can place a call with wit VR or using my contacts and the bottom screen comes up with the volume and hang up buttons and other times it doesn't and I have to disconnect my blue tooth to get my system sound to turn back on.
I have upgraded my firmware and blue tooth to the latest software but can't get any consistence in placing a call.
I'm using a Motorola Q with software ver 6 any insight or siggestions
thanks

This seems to be a hit & miss problem from what I have been reading, it takes 4 tries to get my phone book to transfer over and when it does transfer I'm missing 3/4 of the entries. I don't have close to the 400 max entries allowed.
Is there any way to manually enter the contacts and add more or down load them to the SD card and upload from that
thanks

Some good news, Pioneer sent back my unit with update installed and didn't charge me for the service techs time or the return shipping, must have been my Christmas present from Pioneer ...lol..
