what I would like to know how to do is be able to go back to a pristine state 3.0 with not a hint of mod done to start off all new again.. I put my so many mods on my f90 bt and changed so many files now, that Im sure it needs a "defrag lol, then I can go back to putting mods in,(kinda like reformatting a PC) will putting my legal store bought 3.0sd cards bring everything back to square 1 (I saved my numbers for it)(I had 2.0 on it originally) I do have my whole flash disk saved after I put on 3.0, and I do have my 2.0 saved too as soon as I took it out the box...just wondering...

what I also think you should do is make some color choices of the chrome menu, My car is a ford fusion, the lights are all green inside.. what would make this mod the ULTIMATE is make all the chrome stuff GREEN,,, or any other color we want,,,

I am on ver 3.0 as I am on vacation and cznt upgrade to 3.25 untill I get back. I am using the latest q4 from nt and it's working awesome with street signs and everything it's just the time zone seams to be locked at Edmonton when I have it on auto correct. As soon as I change to TA maps all is ok. It's not a big prob fir me as I just have to manualy change the timezone when I go back to Quebec. The nt maps are by far much better here in rural nb than ta maps are!!!!

Can u tell me what UFO folder to delete? The user data??I did dete it and it still defaults to Edmonton time. As soon as I switch to TA maps the auto correction is on and gives me the correct time

When using NT maps it seams to default to Edmonton time zone. I am in New Brunswick

Hey guys did you notice on the 3.0 mod that if you have the TA maps on the auto correct time is ok but when you use the NT maps we have to set the timezone manualy. Does anyone else have this prob and can it be fixed. I like NT maps better so I always have to change. Time zones manualy when I drive from quebec to new Brunswick

Check it out Ann you will see. Do a sim to Montreal and as as soon as you enter Quebec the signposts stop. With NT they still work right to NB.

ok THANKS to ABB, chuck and ovalball for the help.... I can now switch to Navteq, AND TeleAtlas maps fine(bit of a long reboot though) and I am happy..... I didnt fubar my avic.... I too cant get the TA maps to show freeway signs for Montreal , BUT they do for Ontario, the Navteq maps do for both provinces it was cool seeing them pop up on my flyover to New Brunswick.....(NT maps)with the TA maps they only show up in the Prov of Ont. go figure...... anyways thanks again...

now.....I got the NEW Premium POI's 2009_12 from navi total, and is it only just putting them in as is in my POI folder on the avic (after saving my other ones and deleting them....???

ok thanks.. how do I know if the easyrider and licence file I have will work.. I did a serch for them here and I cant find a file listed that I can DL..

I cant see how a mod or the guy who runs this site would not think of puting up nice how too,, and a location to find all the files .... it could help save alot of usless posts like this...

ok just got the new TA maps and the Navteq maps... now this is what Im gonna do... let me know if this correct ok?

first NT maps.. im gonna create a folder called map_nt then im gonna put the Canada file and the base map file in that folder.. and probably the new york Vermont and Maine states if I have room(if I dont Ill delete some southern states from my TA maps) so that should do it for the NT maps,

now on to the NEW TA maps.. first I save all my older maps as is on a sd card.... now I just overwrite the Canada one and the states that I want... or do I have to do the whole thing.. can new TA maps work with older maps...at the same time?or is it better to just delete all the maps and just copy all the new ones in...???

will the easyrider that is in your mod work abb(3.0) work with all this new stuff? and do I have to do something to the license file?

I remember putting a new easyrider in a few mods back but I forget what one it is... if I need a new one is there a special one I need?

Well I guess I screwed up my avic. All was going fine worked awesome then I wanted to show my buddy the 3d cars and I changed it to what I think is a imprenza or somthing. Now my avic just keeps rebooting. I was moving at the time I changed the car. Could that be it? I tried deleting the user data and reinstalling every thing over(overrighting everything) and it's still the same. Damn what do I do now ???? Should have left well alone geeze!!

Hmm, it is not the car because the impreza works fine in my system. Do you have ALL MY FILES properly installed?? Everything that is in my .rar file has tio be installed....EVERYTHING, even if you think that you alreeady have it! Try reinstalling it all in again and then delete your 'igo' folder in 'MyFlashDisk/user/userdata'

dude it worked fine before too,,,, and yes I installed it the way you say,, EVERYTHING went in..... but just reinstalling the GFX folder did it for me.....your mod rocks man...

Now.. u say for the new maps, for sign posts,i s just delete the old ones(ill back them up) and just install the new ones that I get from that site? and If I want to install navteq maps too and use the switcher... will I have enough space? will it still work if I just use Canada , and the border northern states of both maps.. cause if it is THAT simple than this is gonna be some awsome unit....

ok fixed it... I tried first to delete the 3d cars folder and reinstall it.. and that didnt work... so I just went and deleted the whole GFX folder.. restarted the avic.. same problem.. back in testmode.. reinstalled the gfx folder.. then volia.... all is ok now.. I left the triangale as my car but all the schemes work.. so I guess it was reinstalling the GFX folder....

Please and thank you.. I posted a "search query" for "how do i use navteq maps" and All I got was stuff that talks about it but no one does a how to.. I think it would be invaluable here.....

would be nice to switch maps every now and then... also... if no one can do it.... can you point me to where I can find it on this forum?

Damn I like it..(smart zoom) BUT how the hell did you get the road signs to work? I am in Quebec also(Terrebonne ) and I NEVER saw a road sign work on my almost 2 years of having a AVIC...

Use the Navteq maps.

Navteq = roadsigns,

TeleAtlas = speed sign

I think using navteq maps is beyond my scope of hacking on the avic.. if some one could show me where I can read a nice clear "how to" I would love it! I searched and all i get is a bunch of mixed up posts,,,
