Is the extra price of the 8000 worth it compared to the 4000? It seems that the main difference is that the 8000 has multi touch and GPS.

I haven't used the x940bt, but I have used several other avic models in the past before getting the SPH-DA100. I really like the appradio2 features with ARLiberator. Google nav with traffic is a great option. Ultimately I like the freedom of using whatever I want to use to display on my system.
For me the only pitfall is that I have an older tv in the back for kids, and the Appradio2 doesn't have outputs to go to the tv like many other pioneer units do.

I second that! After asking the question of why get this if it doesn't work with Google Nav, I did some searching and found ARliberator. I got an Appradio 2 installed over the weekend and I've been happy ever since. Some minor bugs to work out still, but pretty damn good.

What cables do you need exactly to make all of this work? I'm debating on getting either this or a mirrorlink device. You still can't use google maps with Appradio still right? That might be the best reason to go with a mirrorlink device still.

What do you mean can't be transfered?

im trying to do the software bypass but i cant get it to work. I unzip data.zip change to number to 256.0 and copy that data folder back on my sd card so its in the folder along with data.zip. am i supposed to re zip the data folder or am i supposed to change to folder and replace data.zip with data?
You should just take the data.zip you have and go into it (dont extract) find the file, and make your changes, and save the file. This way you don't have to extract anything. Then replace the data.zip that you have on your nav.

Get the testmode zip file and extract it. you will have 2 folders.
Copy your data.zip and those 2 folders to to the root of your SD card
Place the SD card into the unit and give the car power (do not crank the engine)
This should boot you into Windows CE mode. X out of the initial blue screen that you get into (the x will be very tiny in the upper right hand corner). Go into My Devices, and then your SD card.
You will have to do a File -> Edit -> Copy of the Data.zip file.
Copy Data.zip into the correct path of the dat.zip in CE ( I don't remmber the exact point but if you look around enough you can figure it out. I believe its called flash card) You will overwrite your current data.zip on the flash.

Are you fully turning on your car and starting the engine, or are you just turning the key to give your car juice? If you start the engine it won't work. You are just supposed to give it power.

I tried doing a search but it didn't yield what I was looking for.
Is there any info out there on comparing the three different traffic services? I just got an F900, and I probably going to signn up with MSN ininitially for the 3 months, but if XM's works better I might switch to them.
I'm in the NY/NJ area if that helps.
AVH-X2600BT mirrorlink

Has anyone had any experience getting the AVH-X2600BT to work with Mirrorlink. It looks like I need the CD-ML100. For a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 do I still need the MHL adaptor?
Thanks
