I did have it set to "Other" in the settings... It is a little confusing as I read in one of the manuals the factory Apple cable should work and so did the place I ordered it from...

but it sounds like no go then...

will have to order the cable.

I just bought a new 210 model and I am having problems connecting. I have done the usual steps as found by other threads however my icons for apps never light up.

1. Radio DA210

2. Blue Tooth connects fine (can stream music from Phone)

3. iPhone 4s with IOS7

4. Latest software on radio (version 5.08?)

5. Tested with Bluetooth off

6. using standard cable from Apple to USB connection

7. Using a toggle switch to allow viewing of DVD's.

That is all I think that would help bring some light to the issue.... any ideas? I just got this thing (looks great).

anyone have this in a place where it can be downloaded? I really wish that AVIC 411 would allow an archive or have moderators to take these files and put them somewhere...

Try resetting the unit - I think sometimes (apparently wiht my unit I have) it does not reset properly at the end of the software change. Once I reset mine a couple of times, the gemlins seemed to disapear.

If you can get a test light from a local auto parts store... you need to verify the ground, +12v constant and switched power leads. If it all checks out it is the unit which has an issue.

ok, so I selected the reset button a couple of times... once I did that the balance reset and I was able to see the proper fader menu + the speakers are working fine.

Don't know why - but atleast it is working.

Is there a problem with the (I THINK) 2.006 update? I do not have any sound coming from the rear speakers and when I looked I could not find a fader control anywhere.

I have been having issues with my BlackBerry Curve and now my new Tourch... Both seem to hang at the end of a phone call when I hit the "End" button on the screen. Sometimes you can eject a CD and re-insert it and everything works again. REAL anoying. I thought it was just the phone - but I guess it is the software.

is no one having delayed responses when using a blu tooth connected phone???

I have a Blackberry Curve - 8390? and I seem to be having issues with hanging up calls, and sometimes adjusting the volume using the touch screen. Has anyone else experienced this and does the 3.0 software update help with this???

Hey man that looks great - much better than OEM... The only thing that I would do is swap the unit out for a 700 series because the plastic is more of a flat color... And it just so happens that I could swap units with you! What an opportunity for you huh?

Here is an "R" background for ya... I haven't finished working on this type yet but my thoughts are to have a "GLI" version and also a "GTi" version too... this looks pretty good in my GTi - please note this is sized for an Avic F series...[/img]

was curious if anyone has tried an animated gif for the splash screen? Will the system handle this type of image or does it need to be a jpg?
