I have the same problem, but mine works when warm and not when cold.
Weird.

After asking a stupid question a few months ago, I managed to get my F90 restored and working great. Then it began again a few weeks ago.
I went through the process with no problems except....
my touchscreen is completely unresponsive!!!
Any suggestions?
I re-read the entire thread to look for an answer. I hope I didn't miss something obvious, but I really need help.
Thanks.
Again.

10 second Google search found a dock splitter. Scroll to the bottom.
http://www.chargeconverter.com/shop/index.htm
Add a dock extender cable for a more flexible/robust connection to your iPod and you may be good to go.
There are probably more elegant solutions out there, but that takes more searching.
Let me know how it works out.

DCH828 - although this is a GREAT forum for your AVIC unit, you may have better luck at http://www.diymobileaudio.com. They are a DIY forum dedicated to sound quality in the car. I am willing to bet that someone can answer the question, at least about the digital audio part of your question. A few of them are flame-tards, but most are REALLY helpful.
The AVIC control question may not have an answer yet, maybe you will be the guy who teaches us something.
I wonder if anyone makes (or could hack?) an iPod y-cable where you could connect a single iPod to two docks. Sounds crazy but who knows? Maybe there is an iPod hacker forum out there with the answer to that one, too.
Good luck

You're bypassing the ipod's DAC for another, then passing it through something else's, then letting to go back to analog again on a passthrough, all on a deck that is made for anything other than SQ. Good plan.
Actually, he is bypassing the decks audio completely and the only role the AVIC would play is transport control. His idea is to take digital audio directly from the iPod and input it to his Audison Bit One. Not only are the Audison DAC's superior to both iPod and AVIC, but he would also eliminate noise in the analog cabling. Even though I am extremely knowledgeable about noise issues and analog signals, I have a major problem with RFI between my iPhone/iPod and my Rockford Fosgate 360.2 inputs.
If I had a digital input like the OP (which I will likely have when I upgrade my RF 360.2 to the Audison or JBL unit, I would love to know the answer to this question.

NMurillo503 - you rock!!! Thanks for the missing key to getting my F90BT back up. Everything I could find said I was using the wrong Testmode version. Cool!

Recently (a couple months ago), my unit (F90BT) would turn on, get to the splash screen, and then go blank. The buttons would also turn off, so for all intents and purposes, the unit was off, though you could hear it humming.
The last update was 2. something...
I tried the directions as in the first post of this thread, and can only get to #9... at that point, the unit boots up in test mode, where you are in Windows, but it stays there for only a second or two before the screen going blank, and the buttons all turning off.
I've tried different WINCEIMG.bin and WINCEIMG.cks, including the ones directly from Pioneer.
Can anyone help?

I am having the exact same problem. Anyone?

I have searched and found the only suggested solution is to put the full name in Outlook as the First Name field. That is not an acceptable solution for my ituation are there any other workarounds?
I get the famous "no phone number" message.
I have a new F90BT with 2.0 installed.
Thanks for any hep.

F90BT Screen calibration in WinCE is waaaaay off
in Problems/Troubleshooting
Posted
I followed tutorials that I found here and made sure that I had the latest versions of everything but my problem is in the touch screen. Once I get into WinCE, the calibration is SO far off, that no amount of compensation with the stylus or finger can access the proper commands.
I have searched and read until I feel like an expert on every subject related to reloading an F90BT except this one. I did find a guy with a similar problem, but his screen was only off by about 1 cm.
If I need professional help to fix this problem, I would rather pay a person on this board than pay Pioneer.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Dale
