  1. Question...

I want to hide the AV title bar (song title bar) at the bottom of the map screen at all times but keep the street name bar. Where can I find the code for the AV title bar? What is the script/layer name for the AV title bar?

    Thanks!

Have you tried clicking on the little arrow at the end of it? Or reading the owner's manual where it mentions it?

  2. Nope, but you can and host your own France version.

I'm pretty much done here. My unit is the way I want it. As always, the mods are done for ME. I have been nice enough to include options to suit others. I believe I'm the only one on here who has gone out of his way to do so.

This is something I do in my freetime and it is now causing me more headaches than my full-time job. There are givers and takers on these forums. No matter how much someone gives, the takers still demand more while offering nothing in return.

My mods run 100% error-free on my unit and most others' as well, but there are too many variables with past mods or pre-existing corrupt files on the Avics to guarantee anything. I feel I have offered far superior support for these issues than what Pioneer's PAID support has, but I am now done.

Grab whatever files you want from my folder on the FTP now. I will leave other people's folders available, but will be removing mine soon.

  3. Read the my post just a few above this and you will see the changes made. They are also in the changelog in the DLs as well as the first post on the thread. READ! EW is EUROPE only. Data.zip is unchanged since 6.2.09.

If people actually read the !readme! and FOLLOWED the simple instructions, there wouldn't be 99% of these questions and error message reports. Set all preferences in ALL NaviSettings submenus BEFORE using. People would see the place to turn off MSN, etc. and set all the variables needed by the new scripts at the same time. I have done all the hard work, people. Is it too much to ask that you take 5 minutes to read and follow instructions?

  4. hey cm when i set a route as it begins to calculate an error prompt comes up it says ffu 0 command? how can i fix this?

You stated in another thread that re-downloading solved your problem. Did you change back to the red theme again? The only users reporting that issue are using the red-version that Superman posted.

  5. I have posted new versions of the auto-installers that include an F500 sys.txt.

The data.zip is still dated 6.2.2009. The only other changes are a larger Wisconsin 3D-building file and a slightly tweaked Sam-TTS voice.

I am also uploading an EW version of the all-in-one that has all available Eurasian building files, Eurasian DEM file, EW specific speedcam database, the EW Testmode files, the v2.00050 hacked ezrider and license, F700-900 EW specific sys.txt, and an F500 EW specific sys.txt.

Due to the 3D files, it is quite large at over 200MB. I recommend deleting any unneeded countries' 3D files from the Mitacap\APL2\IGo\Content\Building\ folder before loading the SD card to the avic.

  6. That is why it is clearly stated in the readme to go through ALL settings submenus. Some variables are only set properly once you do. When my unit was OEM fresh, it rebooted until I set a home address. Just nature of the beast.

  7. I have seen a difference in the phone operation. Ordinarily, when I audibly call a number, the screen would return to the map, where you may change the volume of the caller and hang up when finished. This mod does not do that, it remains on the "Call" screen. If you push the map button, the map is displayed, but the phone volume becomes so low you cannot hear the called person. The call must be cancelled and started again to regain the volume. even if i try to use the phone separately to hear the called person, because bluetooth is still enabled, the volume remains low.

My mod does not change phone behavior. Just entering Testmode even without installing files can cause odd behavior. Try reloading the mod and also hit the reset button.

  8. If it is a US or Canadian unit, download a fresh copy from the FTP and use a freshly formatted SD card to reinstall it. Follow the instructions in the readme precisely.

if it is a Euro unit or F500, you need to edit your sys.txt device type.

If you downloaded a red version of my mod, it is not my file and I can't make any guarantees about its function.

  9. 2 choices:

    1. Send it back to Pioneer (they'll blame it on the hardware bypass)

    2. Start reading how to use Testmode. It is covered in depth in the hacks section FAQ

Try a hard reset by holding eject and reset for 5 seconds. If no joy, enter Testmode.

You need to delete 4 gpsparaxx.bin files from the root of MyFlashDisk and then delete the contents of the user\userdata\ folder.

If still no joy, you can try my ResetToOEM file from here:

    ftp://avic:avic-411@buckeyecollision.us ... tToOEM.zip

It will replace several key files on the unit. Read the readme in the archive.

    Good luck.

  10. The backup camera is unrelated to any hack. NO hack out there can turn it on or off as this is simply a saved setting on the unit. All the F series use the same files except for the F500 and the hacks will still work fine on those once you change one line in sys.txt. Same goes for worldwide versions.

Most reboot problems can be fixed by deleting the 4 gpsparaxx.bin files and the user\userdata folder then doing a hard reset. Very few people ever really need to re-write the whole flash drive unless they delete it themselves. If the flash deletes itself, it's likely to again so repair is needed.

  11. Misterblue, do me a favor and go back to using my old file or use GTIMatt's since his is aimed at EW units. I assure you there is no difference in how routing works between stock, my old one, my new one or GTIMatt's. Just entering testmode is enough to make the unit act weird even without changing any files.

  12. Not hack related. Purely Avic related. The hack just makes it quicker to set a destination so it shows up more. Wait for the unit to fully boot and acquire signal and it works fine.

I've thought about making Home, favorites and history not even visible until the GPS time is valid as a way around it, but this could be an even bigger annoyance for some.

Love the new Samantha. One funny problem though is, with street names like:

"148th Ave NE" (One hundred forty-eighth avenue northeast)

Samantha pronounces that as "One Hundred forty-eighth avenue Nebraska"

Which is, you know, humorous...is there a way to fix that? Street names that begin with NE, as in "NE Union Hill Rd", are pronounced correctly.

You'd have better luck posting this to the TTS thread. There is a rules file in the config folder of the voice zip. You can literally spend days making changes to it and still never get it perfect.

  14. It's also possible that there is a difference in building files for your area. The files in the AIO are the most up-to-date available. In my area they added several new buildings and arenas over the OEM ones, but also removed a few churches that used to show up. You may want to load the older file for your state. Overall the newer files are about 16MB larger than the old ones but a few states are actually a few KB smaller.

  15. In this update, i really have a disabling reboot when you want to navigate and you have no GPS signal. The previous update was better for it.

The GoHome script is still OEM Pioneer as it always has been. The only difference is it's available from the map screen and not a sub-menu. They ALL do this if not fully booted.

Also, be sure to go through EVERY submenu of navisettings and pick your preferences as some of the variables may not be set properly if you don't. If settings don't stick between reboots, you have a corrupt file in user\userdata on the avic. This is a leading cause of reboots.

  16. Always switch to a source screen or main menu before turning off car. Otherwise, you wil have to wait for navigation to fully boot before you hear music. Doing it this way, I have the iPod sound and screen up and functional within 10-15 seconds. Nav takes another 30 seconds at the most before OK is clickable.
