So I just picked up a Nokia N810, mostly for reading books on the train, but it has a piece of software called carman which can log OBD2 information in correlation with GPS location/settings.

Is there anything similar for the Avic??? It does run CE natively and I have seen a bunch of CE apps that do this, but they all require serial OBD2 connector... Would be cool if anyone has seen or knows of anything like this..

Yeh it was I'll give you that... Possibly some hick judge in some very remote parts might not be up to date on laws regarding digital evidence, but in most major municipalities you'd be SoL

Stupid pioneer implementation doesn't let you search for POIs in a different location, only around cursor or at your final destination. I saw a hack somewhere but its not in the Data.zip I'm using...

Yep mine too... I changed it to Auto by accident while I was messing around and it autocorrected right.

Even if there is... Won't hold up in court unless it was written to WORM (which the avic can't do) format and you could prove it came from your car.. In digital forensics this would be considered hearsay evidence...

I tried compressing the data.zip back with my mac and its 5.4mb with winrar on parallels the same file comes out to 6.7

Hence whenever I load it into the avic it keeps rebooting.

However yours is totally different than his.. I want to add the following code to yours but can't seem to find where it would go... I have made the changes to common.ui to accomodate the POI search by address but I'd like to open up the icon as well...

I have compiled some of my favorite Boris/Yours/Keepers settings and have gotten the different Igo8 schemes to work... Any help would be appreciated..

to get it on your F create a pictures folder on any sd/usb card. Put the card in after the system is running.. Click System Settings --> Splash Screen --> Import from SD and choose it.

Yeh seem here... I like ilkeeptryins' but some things from Mavericks and Keepers I thought were awesome... I unzipped both data.zips and working to try to reverse engineer it a little... Hopefully have it done by tomorrow....

Now if anyone can clue me on how to change the scheme??? I copied one from igo8 directory but the damn thing kept poppin up error bmp something or other not found and rebooted... Had to restore my sys backup before it came back..

Answered my own question regarding the Icons...

All the AV stuff is done with the exception of HD/Radio (Need some inspiration or ideas as I don't have HD and don't listen to the radio)

All the settings are done..

Still have left to do.. Arrows, Backgrounds, Text, and the VR Screen

So this was made on a Mac with EZzip.. Works the same as Bzip but you don't need a windows machine.. Please no Mac vs Windows

The image.res works I wanted to make sure it did before I uploaded it. I just installed it on my F900bt.

I still have a bunch of Icons to make, hopefully by the weekend I should be done...

I do have some questions (I haven't searched yet but will once I'm done with the Icons)

1. How do I edit the color of the text? Are they just individual images?

2. For the contact Icon do I have to save the icon as the same name as all of the built in contact icons?

Just finished the Contact Icon and have updated image.res to include it. However I only saved it as the default blue contact (haven't tested if I need to save it as the same name as all the contact icons, will test in a little bit)

Thoughts on the contact icon?

Apologies had to modify the size of the ICON for some reason used 240x240 as opposed to 138x116. Image.res has been updated

Thanks for the info on how to get image.res opened... I am working on all the icons in the meantime I have completed the Home Icons..

Still need to do the text and buttons for all the settings. I made the compass and the Ipod in Photoshop... Not creative enough for the nokia so I just found an image and made some changes to it...Will be posting the image.res in a few days when I'm done...

you need to use 7zip to unzip it and to zip it again in .res format. Need to use photoshop or similar program to edit the images...... LOTS of info on this subject. take a look at hacks and nods on the F-sereis forum.

Ah.... So thats what I was missing image.res is a zip file.... Thank you... I have PS and thats what I used on the arrow... Thank you again....
