oh, shit!!Do you know where can I find a CCD that fits with bmw????? the problem with the pioneer one is that is too large and doesn´t fit the bmw...............

i googled it, it's a CMOS camera.

Can someone help me with my update???? I´m driving crazy, there are too much different instructions and don´t know how to update my fu******* f900bt to the new 3.0 firmware version..........

nobody knows where to buy an european not official map update?????????

I´m looking for the 3.0 firmware for an european unit also........but I think this post is for USA/canada units............

I did the procedure, the unit starts and in the menu (route, contacts & audio) a box in the bottom says 'system startup in progress' and then it chrashes and restarts the system after app. 5 min...

 

Anyone tried the same, who can help me fix this??? (im using a EU unit). Pls help

OK, but 3.xxx firmware is for F910BT/F9110BT, and 2.xxx are for F900BT - correct me if I'm wrong ..

That link is for the official 2.009 firmware not for the 3.0 nor official nor unofficial

Yeah I was on the phone with Pioneer & even spoke with a supervisor, they consider the 3.0 update 'optional' and he basically said if I wanted that updated functionality I should have purchased the X710 instead. Great customer service. Good thing I know how to use torrents.

Pioneer had announced that 3.0 was being offered at no charge to users that purchased after late summer, I'd give them a call.

I have found a camera than says IMAGE FEATURE OV7950CMD ...........but don´t say nor CMOS nor CCD.........Do you know what´s the meaning of CMD???

CMOS is crap and CCD is not. CMOS camras have very poor low light picture quality and poor picture quality in general. CCD cameras have much better low light and general picture quality. Again, Pioneer, Kenwood, and Clarion all use CCD cameras. All compact surveillance cams are CCD. CMOS is the VHS in the DVD age.

The ones on ebay are almost all CMOS cams and they are crap. What you need to look for is a CCD cam. All of the head unit manufacturers are CCD. Most CCD cams start at about the 100 dollar range.

I had the professional radio in my BMW E93 with No problems............... I don´t prefer the 900bt over the factory GPS, but althought my car is new, it is was already made so I couldn´t add any factory extras.........so It is why I bought the pioneer one.....I had already a pioneer one in my smart fortwo..........

Did you have a radio before the 900BT and did it loose the station presets? You like the 900BT over the factory GPS?

It is crazy, only change ilumination colour and language, I have set up a PASSWORD, but doesn´t ask for it to me, so i think the problem is not with the constant power wire...........

Looks like you do not have constant power wire hooked up properly.

But is very strange, because is only when I leave my car (2009 bmw 325i) during many hours.........so don´t know exactly what´s the matter with it...........

Can I update my firmware to the new 3.000. version and continuing using original maps from Pioneer??????

But the maps in this link are for IGO 8.0 ................this new firmware doesn´t work with IGO 8.3????

the application guied for the PESWIPS says

 

BMW 1995-1999 all series

BMW 2000-2001 all bmw's

BMW 2002-2005 3 series

BMW 2006 3 series (coupe only)

 

it doesnt say any thing about 92-93, it might work but i doubt it, if it worked, i would think that they would have listed it.

I´m in the same position................waiting................I´m using an USA F700BT in Spain...............actually I´m using the 2.0 FW and the IGO 8.0 maps.............but they are horrible, because I can set the always front view for the maps.........................so will be wainting for a new FW for the poors european people who are using the 8.0 maps.............
