  1. I was wondering is this mod will work on the 2010 model of this avic the F920BT?

I don't know for sure for the F920BT model but it is a NO for the X920BT anyway, because it uses a different OS therefore it cannot be modded.

EDITED: It turns out that the F920BT is the european version of the X920BT, so not moddable!

    Check here: http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=31205&p=213434&hilit=x920bt+confirmed#p213434

    allright.. thanks mate...

  2. Hey guys Im a neewbie at this stuff , but just letting you guys know that this worked flawlessly, just follow MyITGuy's directions and you cant go wrong . Great job!!!!

Now can ver. 3.1 from pioneer be used with out a problem ?

there is no ver 3.1 only 3.020200 ...

  3. Hi Matt,

Great to hear that the km/h mod is in your data.zip.!!

Downloaded and installed. Monday i will test the warnings as i am on the road again to work.

I will keep you informed if everything works okay.

    Justin

I've found a problem with my latest mod, the barking dog is back. I think it's because I added the custom option to the warnings as value 3 and the pioneer code doesn't understand it and seems to default to the simple option. so the dog barks when you are over the limit. I think I know how to fix it but I won't get the chance to look at it until tomorrow.

The return of the barking dog should be fixed now! I've posted a new data.zip. Please see the orignal post.

so it is possible to select mph and kph from the settings now?

  4. It's already on rapidshare ready to download with the kph voices (check out my post on Page 2). It's only missing GTIMatt's change for the 100kph sign which I will upload tomorrow. It's based on his original data.zip so other requested mods won't be in there yet.

yes i know, but i will just wait till your update tomorrow to get the 100kph sign correct as well...

Good job mate... appreciate your efforts

  5. Cheers Matt, I've changed that code and will test tomorrow.

I can also confirm that the kph audio files work great on my fake 40kph speed camera at the end of the street. It's great to have a spoken warning rather than beeping. Thanks for your help getting it working.

Also you mentioned this in an earlier post "The traffic screen is called up by pressing the icon next to the current street name" What icon should I be looking for? Do I have to have a route selected to get the TMC icon?

I'm currently pulling my car to bits to ground the handbrake, much to the amusement of my wife who thinks I'm getting far to obsessed with my car stereo. My unit was installed professionally before I found this site and having looked at all the wires hanging out the back of the unit I've decided to just do the software/handbrake mod. At least the handbrake wire is easy to remove and ground.

keep us posted lacehim... and if complete can you post your updated data.zip with voicefiles so others in kphland can enjoy as well..

  6. Okay i will keep track of this thread then. And wait for the changed data file for km/h.

I have speed warnings installed, but the sound is always off because of that stupid barking dog.

Speed warnings are a standard feature in the Netherlands F-series. You even get a 1 year free subscription to download speedwarnings.

hey you from holland too.. me too.. and i got the 1 year subscription also... And the barking dog is indeed very annoying.. But with another mod i'm using its another sound. But best would be the spoken sounds like this one.. so i will keep track of this one too.

  7. Matt,

Had a drive with your data.zip today. It's very good. Clean and easy to read and it has everything on the screen.

I've made kph ogg files as per yours and uploaded them into the same location (I deleted the mph ones) and I've called them 0_30kph.ogg, 0_40kph.ogg 0_50kph.ogg etc. Do I need to update any scripts to work with the new kph.ogg files? I don't have many speed cameras near my house to test it on but I want to make sure i've set it up right so that I can go for a big drive and test it out on a few redlight cameras.

Also is there any other areas that you modified to display mph instead of kph?

    Michael

hey lacehim.. if you succesfully done this, would you mind sharing it... I think like me alot of people would love gtimatt's mod in combination with kph sounds instead of the mph ones...

  8. no.. there is no way to put 8.3 maps on the unit.. only 8.0 maps

There are the igo maps 8.0 and 8.3 and there is the igo navigationsoftware 8.0 and 8.3

I wonder if it is possible to put the newer navigationsoftware 8.3 in the memory of the unit and erase 8.0

no that is not possible yet.. we hope pioneer will make that possible in the following firmware upgrade...

  9. WHATwhat does this file do illditrying mod mar 12.res? i noticed it in the download manager.

its his latest mod (data.zip) file... using his mod right now on my unit and works good.

i dont think its a mod, it isn't a zip file it is a .res file.

ohh you mean that... well its really a zip.. rename it to zip and you will see... i dont know why he named it to .res

  10. fantastically modified GTImatt... i love what you've done with the left hand-side. I love the fonts you used. Very readible if you ask me.. I wonder what the 1st, 3rd and 4rd button do on the left hand side if no route is selected?

Any chance i could test your data.zip on my unit?

Was wondering if you have the speedcam mod also, and maybe changed the position of the speedcam box and made it more readible?
