  1. My 4100 has been doing the same thing... Starts up fine most of the time, but about 30% of the time it won't turn on for 1-2 minutes, usually when I could really use the backup camera! Glad to see I'm not the only one. I did install the 1.053 update a few days ago and it has not done it since then, but I suspect the problem is still there.

  2. Hey Diaftia! Thanks for this awesome update. After using your older mod for a long time I started looking for new ones, and even did a little modding myself. I must agree with you on one point... The ONLY reason I couldn't use ABBs mod is because of the font he uses. Not to my liking at all. I agree it's too scripty for a navigation interface. But to each their own!

Anyway, the new mod is AWESOME. Thanks! You've done a great job, and I love that the end user can actually change things to their liking and do a little customization. Great work!

  3. Well that's why you should look up where you are going and use the GPS as a guide and not a crutch.

You know, it's funny how I can try and contribute to a thread by posting MY experiences which directly relate to the topic, and then some smart ass comes along trying to insult me... So, just to clarify, I NOTICED that the GPS was not routing me correctly either on my trip OR driving around town, and by saying that I mean it was WAY off... But I didn't say ANYTHING about actually following what the GPS was telling me to do. So please, if you have something to say that will actually contribute, feel free to say it.

  4. So far the maps and signboards have been fairly accurate... BUT I have noticed that the routing at time is WAY off! I just drove from Austin, TX to SLC, UT and there were a few times it told me to get off the highway just to get back on 3 miles down the road. Also just driving around town here it was telling me to basically get off at the next exit then go around basically in a circle just to get back onto the freeway and continue on my journey! I did NOT have these issues with the previous software/maps...

  5. Ok... It seems as if no one else is having my same problem... But every time I load Keepers data.zip file onto my system I get an error message when I start iGo. It pops up with a message saying it cannot open gfx/day/cs.bmp or something like that. I am running FW 3.0 on an F90BT. Any ideas?

I've tried Keepers data.zip and also the 5 mods in one version, but none work.

  6. I installed mine a few days ago. Installation went very smoothly, and everything worked the first time I booted it up. It was extremely easy to apply the mods I wanted (Guga's image.res, Mavericksters data.zip). So far the bluetooth has been great, and I've had no issues with my LG Venus phone. When a call is ended music plays almost immediately. The voice recognition works well, though not perfect. I've learned not to rush the unit while it's still booting up, which doesn't take too long. The nav part works well and looks great. I've had a few qualms with how it routes me at times, but it'll get you there.

All in all, I love it. It's definitely NOT perfect, but it does it's job fairly well. I think my $545 was well spent :)

  7. Sorry, I really haven't had much time to use the F90's nav system, but I know that on my Magellan GPS that I used to have in my car that it wasn't dead on either. It would register a turn about a second after I had actually made it. Not sure if that is just typical of most nav systems?

  8. I ordered mine a few days ago... Will be here next week! I got mine for $545 shipped. It's going into a '98 4Runner. I'm way excited. I originally planned on getting the F90BT, but after I read about some of the issues with it I started looking at the Kenwood DNX8120. I really liked the bigger screen, but wasn't a fan of the UI. The big thing though was price... I would have had to spend TWICE as much for one than I did for the F90. PLUS, after reading up on all the hacks and all the customization you can do, I got real excited for the F90BT! I already have my splash screen made up and I know which theme I'm gonna use... just haven't decided on which NAV stuff I'm gonna change. I'm gonna wait and play with the stock version first. Anyway, I can't wait!
