  1. I have had my D3 for many years and have had it hooked up to numerous phones without problems, until now. It worked fine for both calls and audio for my iPhone 3g and my wife's 4, but now that I have the 4s it will only work for audio? It connects without problems, I can use the controls to control both Pandora and my music on the phone via bluetooth, but not in or out audio when making calls. It shows up as connected, will switch from whatever mode it is in to phone mode if either an inbound call is coming or I initiate a call on my phone, but then I have to switch my phone to speakerphone to actually have the call. It worked for a few calls when I initially set it up, but has since stopped. I have un-paired it and re-paired it a couple of times, but that hasn't helped at all. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Erik

  2. Did you get anywhere on this? I have and AVIC-D3 in my 06 F150 and have for many years with no porblems. It has worked bluethooth with other cellphones, my iPhone 3G, my wife's iPhone 4, but now that i have my iPhone 4S I'm having issues. It works great to bluetooth the music, but doesn't work at all for calls? If I'm getting an inbound call the mode and screen will change, but when I answer it I can't hear them and they can't hear me - I end up having to switch to speaker phone on my iPhone. It worked a couple times when I first got the new phone, but as soon as I tried to use Siri it stopped? Thanks for any help that you can give - Erik

  3. Either that, or just call and cancel. That is what I did and declined their first 2 offers to continue service and went with the 3rd at 3.99/mo for 6 months I think. When I get close to the end of that, I will just call back and cancel again. Erik

  4. I just picked up an 06 F150 King Ranch that had the factory sirius radio. I have the Avic-D3 and the XM unit and installed it the other day from my 04 F150. Previously I had been using the antenna that came with the pioneer xm unit and did not have any problems, and cancelled my xm service a while back because I never listen to the radio and primarily use my iPod for music. When putting the system in my new truck I decided to install all the components in case I change my mind down the road and was able to plug the stock sirius antenna into the pioneer xm unit (just removed the plastic plug cover). I can recieve channels 0,1 and 247 and am wondering if the antenna will work for the complete xm line up if I sign back up?? I mounted my sat antenna on the metal braces of the dash and get 7-8 of 8 antennas on the signal meter and would love to not have to run/mount the xm antenna - on the dash doesn't work where I am at, needs to be on the roof. Thanks for any info - Erik

  5. Not AVIC related, but does nayone know the correct cable to get so that my wife can use her iPod through her factory Honda Pilot stereo? It is an 06 with the 6 disc in-dash changer and XM. I have seen a few and some say that you have to disable the XM and others say that they will work, but will not display info unless the XM is disabled, some say the steering wheel controls will still work, but don't want to spend $100 on one that is a POS. thanks - Erik

  6. I have the LG VU 915 with AT&T and was able to pair it up to my D3 without any problems. It works for making/receiving calls, but won't transfer the phone book (something that AT&T has disabled). The only thing that I had to change on my phone to get it to sync was to make it visible in the bluetooth settings. Now whenever I get close to my truck and the stereo is on it will sync - it even has the range to synce inside the house when I use my remote start on the cold mornings. Erik

  7. CamelTow - Thanks for the response. I already have the Pioneer iPod cable hooked up and will probably run the Appple one too. I will just hook up the Apple cable for video through the back of the deck and then run the pioneer cable when I am just listening to music. Not being able to control the video through the head unit isn't that big of a deal since the CD-I200 wouldn't do that anyways. Thanks - Erik

  8. I have had my D3 for a while and finally got an iPod to use for music and video playback to free up the dvd slot for nav. The cable arrived today and took a whole 5 minutes to pull the deck and hook it up and re-install the deck. Hooked the cable to the iPod and have normal controls over the sound and all works great. Set the iPod to video out and when I hit the video button on the D3 I just got the normal message to control unit from iPod. Tabbed through the menu on the iPod and started a video and got nothing - no sound or picture on the D3 and a message on the iPod that it needed to be hooked up to a video. I used the D3 function button to go through the sources and when I got back to the iPod, video and sound were there. Thought to myself, this actually worked. Cleaned up everything and was listening to music with the iPod and went back to play a video and now there is nothing again. Everything is set the way that it was before, but I don't get sound or video. Any thoughts, or am I out of luck since I think that it is 6th generation (iPod classic 120gb). Thanks - Erik

  9. don't know where you are at, but here it has only been about 20 degrees out - so not much window down driving yet. the people that I hve talked to on it have said that I sound pretty good. the way that the truck is set up, the mic is fairly close to me so that may help some. my wife can even here our 3 year old in the back seat without her having to speak up any. erik

  10. I have an 04 F150 that has tons of room in the dash. There is a spot under the dash tray that is just above the radio, and I mounted my xm module there when I installed the stereo a while ago and there was enough room that I just used the velcro and put the bluetooth unit on top of the xm one. Secured all the extra wire and cable since I only had to run about 10 inches and everyone still thinks that it looks like a stock deck.

  11. I just grounded the black lead to the ground wire that I had for the other components - not the wiring harness, but a diff lead that grounded to chasis. I then used the constant power lead from the stock harness to supply power to the yellow lead. All works good, now I just have to figure out how to transfer the numbers (one at a time per other posts) from my phone to the btb200. any suggestions or help?? have the btb200, at&t and the motorola v3xx. thanks - erik

  12. your pic didn't show up, but from the sounds of it you may be using the wrong holes on the mounting bracket and/or deck which could explain the spacing that you are getting. mine sits in just perfect and I also tucked the xm module under the center dash tray. tried to find you a good pic of mine, but couldn't and it's too dark outside now to. if you have any questions let me know. erik

  13. power harness and mic were gimmees. is there a reason that I can't just piggyback onto the backside of the xm module? keeps me from having to pull the deck, or does the bluetooth need to be first in line? thanks

  14. I recieved the bluetooth unit for a gift and just have one quick question on install. I have the basic pioneer xm module now, do i just unplug the xm and plug the bluetooth in that spot then plug the xm into the bluetooth as a daisy chain? the install guide isn't very clear when it comes to hooking up multiple accessories. thanks - erik
