  1. I have the F700(not sure about the letters, BT maybe?) and a 16gb iPod touch 2G. I am re-updating now and will try it again. USB drives still work with music/video when plugged in, this damn ipod is still giving me issues though.

I do not have the newest 3.0 update on the Avic though, could there be an issue there? If someone has my/similar setup could you confirm?

Thanks guys, lets hope I get this sorted out!

  2. I think it's a defect in the Pioneer iPod cable being very cheap. I had the same problem but fixed it by switching to the Apple iPod cable. Don't know if this will work for everyone but it's worth giving it a try and if it doesn't fix it I guess you can always just return the Apple cable?

What cable did you use exactly? I would love to swtich the cable and try this out. Can you please post a link, it seems there are many of us having this problem!

  3. Hello All. I am having troubles with my unit (F700BT) playing an iPod. The radio, both FM and AM, works great and both sets of side speakers (left and right) sound great. Not the same when I switch to listen to the iPod. The left speakers sound great, where as the right speakers (both front and back) sound very muffled and lower volume (almost as if they are blown out). They can not be blown out though because, as I have stated, the radio works great, along with the "beep" sounds when buttons are pressed. Has anyone else had this problem and is there anything I can do to correct it? Here are some things I am going to try tomorrow: 1) play ipod using 3.5mm cord 2) play music from flash drive using USB inupt (same as ipod). Anything else you pros can think of to try? or is this a common problem that cannot be fixed and I should call Pioneer to try and get a replacement unit?

Thanks for any and all help! I hope I can get this issue sorted out ASAP

  4. Hello, I just installed my hardwire hacked F700BT in a 2004 F150 Crew Cab. Everything is working perfect with it except for the fact that it will NOT play the sound from my iPod. The radio has not currently been installed yet (just laying on the console) and I know that everything has been hooked up correctly. All wire in the harness, RCA wires, USB, GPS, and antenna. I get sound from AM/FM radio, but not from the ipod. it brings up all the ipod info and looks like the song is playing and when i press next song i can hear the beep, just not the actual music. Any ideas?

-Is it possible that something could have went wrong with the hardwire mod?

-What if the mute wire is not hooked up correctly (its in the right slot, just may not be touching the pin?)

-Is there a hardware mute button?

Thanks for any and all help, I am stumped!
