    The new beta 3 is out and i think they fixed it cause it works for me now......i have a avic-z3 and also a 500bt or somethin liek that a regular pioneer radio that has a usb on it....and it didnt work w/ the original beta or beta 2........but now w/ the beta 3 it seems to work....minus the charging on the avic-z3 ......but the other works also charge and plays music......

    it CHARGES??? Sounds very interesting :)

  5. Question about "My Mix"

    Hey guys, wanted to know how u handle this...

    I have ~380 songs in my library and would like to add my favorites into "my Mix" as I'm listening to them. My problem is though, after listening to a few songs, I won't remember if I already added it to "My Mix" or not. And I checked to see if I get a message saying something like "This song is already in ur -My Mix-"...but it just adds the song again.

    Anyone know a work around that? Some setting I can do that won't allow the same song to be in the "My Mix"?

    Ok, I just did the update and it worked. I put the Cd in and after some time it said "Cd inserted"....then nothing. I just thought, great, my update doesnt work either. I left the CD in and started driving to the store. After backing out of my drive way, the update started.

    To make a long story short...after the "cd inserted" message came up, did you wait about a minute? It takes some time to start the update progress.

    I have a Z1 upgraded to a Z3. I'm gonna try the update later today. If it all works, I'll send you my copy...let's see if that would work.

    Btw, are you sure that the update is not already installed on your Z3?

    Wow, that was quick. I sent the payment on Halloween night ( Friday ) and received the HDD on Tuesday. I installed it today within 15 minutes and it works perfect.

    Hehe, I also ordered an extra set of screws which I didn't need, cause the instructions warned me that they strip easily and a good screwdriver is needed.

    I'm so excited that everything worked so easily.

     

    I wish Pioneer would make it easier to transfer music on the harddrive.

  19. Freezing on startup

    Nope, didn't fix mine. Well, haven't had a freeze yet, but a new problem popped up right after the update. I can't enter an address / destination anymore ( even when in park ).

    I dont know what to do. I'll probably call Pioneer, don't have too much hope on getting any help from them though. I might have to do a reset and see if that works.

    am gonna go get the iphone tomorrow/later and test it with the Z1. Should work too though :). The thing I'm curious about...I have the iPod hook up...i wonder if it works on the iPhone as a charger and POSSIBLY get it to work on the Z1 screen...eventhough I doubt it.

    Any updates?

     

    I was able to do some trouble shooting. It was a hot afternoon and I was stuck in traffic. Had the windows down. Within 15 minutes, i had 3 songs just stop and skip to another song. Since I was in traffic and bored, I thought I'd roll up my windows and turn on my A/C....Had another 1/2 hour commute and not one skip.

     

    So atm I'm thinking it has something to do with heat. It never happened to me at night so far.
