  1. there are a few "speed cams" around here that show up that either don't exist or are not speed cams, A few of the ones that don't exist have the poles up and wires coming out the top, but no cams there yet (or have been there for years) and the ones that are not speed cams around here are the NC DOT hiways cams that the DOT (dep. of trans) use to watch the traffic for wrecks and traffic jams, and to also help the NCHP during a hi speed chase. then a few others they use on some bridges to track the ammount of traffi, BUt other then that they we dont have ANY speed cams that actually catch you s
  2. I use a combo of Cmh and gnasr's mods with a little tweeking of my own to make it exactly like i want it (now if someone could just hack the radio software so i can add more presets to each band, would be nice to have fm1 have 12 presets!!!!!!
  3. Got my hands on his smooth knob today!!! Thx for the quick shipment!!!! your smooth black knob is nicely displayed on my Deck for everyone to see!!!!
  4. here are picts of my mod (these are pre- latest Cmh update, i moves the route info stuff up like he did after i took these)
  5. ok.. added the new branding to my data.zip and i keep getting a errorr saying that igo cant find branding file and must quit. I'll go back and look for what i did wrong, but advice on what to look for would be helpful EDIT... FIXED, i didnt see a few files in the common folder. working 100% now.
  6. Thx, I'll get a pic of it up later when i have a chance to take some and the icons are tweeked. Now if someone can just figure out how to hack the radio part of the unit there some things i would love to do to it (as in add more presets/ fm band)
  7. After a bunch of looking i finally found a program to help mac users work with the data.zips better. It allows you to access files and open them in an edit program (but you will have to set that edit program as the default program for that file type in the finder) within the data.zip WITHOUT un-compressing them. It is software that you are "supposed" to pay for (unless you know where to look). It also gets rid of all the junk ( ._ hidden files that macs use for system stuff) that mac tends to throw into the zips. http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/29764
  8. THX much for this!!!!!! I can't wait to get my hands on your smooth knob!!!!!!
  9. leetlauncher does not install TO your unit (as of right now), It stays on the SD card, to remove it/stop using it remove SD card and reboot. As for warranty issues, well, any mod done to your unit would prolly violate warranty (even though this does not physically go into your unit like other mods), but thats the risk you take, and there are way around the warranty issue (as them tell them that it messed for other reasons)
  10. woooooohoooooo, I got it all working like i want it to be, I still need to tweek the icons onscreen to get them lined up right but other then that its like i want it.
  11. ok deleated the (visiblemodel="!navigation.distance_to_manuver.valid") i copied your setting.ui into the setting.ui in mine (only a small diff in code) i could not find the setting_onmap.bmp file ( thats the part i was getting fuzzy about trying to figure out what you ment) My screen set up looks like the picts i put up a few post back, just not getting the MSN with route yet. now i'm getting a reboot, musta done something wrong anymore tips would be helpful, but now going to bed, will work on it in the morn
  12. You'll need to move the MSN button further to the right next to the cursor button, then remove (visiblemodel="!navigation.distance_to_manuver.valid") from the button's script. Just swap the x values with the ones for setting_onmap.bmp. You'll then need to reduce the NextStreetName text width to around w=300. The Day/Night Toggle script is in the settings.ui file in the common\ui folder. The MSN button is moved to the right side of the screen below the clock and compasses so its out of the way (I'm useing gnasr data.zip as a bace and pulling code from your data.zip to get it set up).
  13. He has a few of those already ready in other files on his download site (read through the thread to find them), as forthe clock, try gnasr data.zip with this mod and see if you like that (also in the thread around page 13). Once I finish figuring out a few things with mine (just waiting for Cmh to respond to my post) I'll see if i can make my variation on his/gnasr mod available. still got a few bug to iron out (damn dyslexia.. lol)
  14. It appears that people prefer Black BY FAR. However I have sold about 6 Red ones so far (see Fred2Yu your not the only one) No Blue and No Gold yet... I thought about getting a blue one to match my car, But I already drive a civic and I don't want anyone to see that and start calling me a ricer, So I went with the more upscale look of black!!
  15. Я is stacking order on the screen. Items with higher Z value will appear in front of items with lower Z value. thats what i thought but wanted to make sure
  16. OK, now I got it to work and can now start tweeking the mods, added the linear compass to gnar's mod, moved the original compass down and added msn below that (still have to adjust the spacing, but like i put up in the picts above) but now I can't find the coding in Cmh mod that makes the day/night change when you hit the linear compass and make it so that the MSN does not dissapear when i go into a route. ok and i got what "x" ( - ) and what "y" ( | ) is but what does the "z" variable control.
  17. ok found a zip program that seems to work well with the data.zip on mac http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/29764 now I'm going to try to mod the files and see if i can't fook them up... lol
  18. ok, looks good, just about there, BUT it would still be nice to have the MSN button available while in route as well b/c thats when i use it the most. most of the time when i'm not using a route, I already know the area well enough and know the gas station around and what ones have the lowest prices normally. BUT if I'm having to find a location is when MSN comes in the most handy.
  19. BTW, I found a program that allows me to access the files within the DATA.zip without un-zipping them, BUT it wont let me put them back in to the zip once i'm done changing things.. so i'll keep searching for a program that works well, once i find one I'll post it up for mac users to know what to use!
  20. these are kinda what i was thinking about, or put the MSN there the navi status button is (icons cut and pasted, not to scale, but just to show where) I know it starts to take up more of the screen, BUT since my main concern is the middle of the screen to see where it says to go I don't mind that little bit of edge taken up if it means quicker access to shortcuts i use, plus it solves the lenear/original compass issue for me.
  21. From what i understand you have to run the POI from that site in the AVICfeeds program on your computer, Then put them on a SD card and use them from there, they are not standard poi files like are in the map folder in your unit, but they come up as ones that the avic reads off the sd card
  22. Cool, I'll give it a try in a bit once the rain lets up. Then all try it out overnight (35 min drive to and from work will give me a chance to see how I like it) and let you know. Thx for the help!!!! I'm going to give Cmh's newest one a try tonight, but if you feel like making one with MSN on it also then I'm sure others would appreciate it as well. I like you bigger clock up top, But I'm also torn between the normal compass (easy to read at quick glance, useless in 2d mode) and the linear Compass (looks better, More useful in 2d mode, but harder to read at a quick glance).
  23. Well, I do use them, and like i said before, if i could code it myself i would, but untill i get a newer intel mac it does not seem like i will be able to work with the files right, But then again I might have done it right the last time, but my dyslexia might have come into play and i messed up the coding the last time i tried. I'll try again tonight while at work to try redoing it again. BUT if I had to pick one button to replace it with, that would be the sat status button. Its nice to have but not something i need to have ready all the time
  24. Well, I will say with my on-glass attenna in my civic the FM reception is worse then the factory radio BUT AM is great
  25. Nice work Guga, Like the civic, too bad its not a Mugen Si civic then it would fit my car perfect (thats what i drive)
