  1. Thank you very much IAF!!

    Small question:

If you have a HD Radio, are the presets now showing the channel name, in the preset listing?

I doubt that. I have an F7010BT. It is my second unit. On my first unit the Bluetooth quit working so I gt the unit swapped out. Upon installing the new unit I expected to have to setup all my HD stations again but they were all there just as they were in my previous unit. This tells me it is the HD unit that is storing the HD station presents and info and is most likely they part that does not have the proper software to display the HD station info. I wish Pioneer would fix this.

  2. Here is how the analog/hd works. When set to HD tuner as you are the HD tuner will first tune in the analog station. If the station is aslo broadcasting in HD then within a few seconds it will tune in the HD 1 station and have a display to the right that shows something like 1/1 or 1/3 etc. depending on how many HD stations are being broadcast. I have attached a picture showing my F7010BT tuned into 95.5 KLOS in Los Angeles that has HD 1, HD 2 and HD 3 (HD 3 being a rebroadcast of their AM talk radio station 790). I put an arrow on the picture showing where the HD station indicator is. To tune to an HD station other than number 1 you use the tuning knob just like you would tune any other station but you have to wait until the radio has tune in the HD stations and shows the available numbers as in the picture.

I had my tuner installed with an antennae splitter between the HD receiver and standard tuner so that if I am in an area with poor HD reception I can just tune to standard FM and not have the HD going in and out.

By the way they were playing Alice Cooper's Elected. Great song IMO.

  3. According to my brother there is a warranty difference between the F700Bt and the F7010BT. The F700BT has a one year warranty. The F7010BT has a three year warranty. I just got my F7010BT installed one week ago by my brother who is an expediter. You got the better deal so be thankful for that.

  4. I was able to integrate both the SpeedCam mods and Mavs mods... But after trying several times to add the Speedcam mods to Mavs mods I gave up.

I ended up using the posted Speedcam Data.zip file that is already completed and then adding Mavs mods individually. It took longer to do this way, as there are several great mods in Mavs DATA.zip... But it worked.

I now have all of Mavs mods AND the speedcam warnings!

Is the speedcam mod the only additional mod you made? if you did other mods too please list additional mods made.

Would you please post your data.zip file with some picks so that I can see what you mod looks like. Also please post any additional files and or instructions that would be needed to successfully complete the mods.

I just got my F7010BT (same as F700BT but with 3 yr. warranty) 4 days ago and have not done any mods yet. Mavs mods seem to have most everything I want except the speed cam stuff, which you have added.

I do like dumpystig's mod to put the info near the middle top of the screen (see pic) and would like the code used for that with good instructions on where to put the code.

Also can some tell me how to add the date code below the clock or maybe to the left of the clock so that I would not need to resize the clock font. The format I want is mm/dd/yyyy (typical for US).

Thanks for any and all for help/info provide.

BIG THANKS to Maverickster for making these great mods available and BorisM for all his fine work, also anyone else I forgot to mention.

  5. I would not want to srf the net while driving but this would be great to read webmail and check web calendar while stopped. I am waiting the the hack. Who is working on it, definitely not me.

Seriously if anyone figures this out then maybe I would look into wireless internet like Verizon.

While your at it I would like Freecell on my F700BT!
