  1. Okay so I have the F700BT. After my wife's car battery died we replaced it and ever since the bluetooth didn't work. We were running 2.X at the time. I saw 3.0 and "3.1" were out so I upgraded to that thinking it might fix the issue:

    I used this image:

Upgrade went fantastically, great instructions provided.

Afterwards the bluetooth still didn't work but now, if I cycle the bluetooth "off" a windows error dialog says "tel.exe throw an fatal exception" or something similar. If I try to cycle it on, the same message comes up but then the device auto reboots itself.

In the "bluetooth software upgrade" it says "not found".

Even getting into the phone area is difficult, often having to wait a long time after all other functions work (3-4 minutes after boot up) and clicking multiple times on the phone button on the main menu, nothing happens.

I have searched and found a few posts with similar issues.

I tried this suggestion but the software upgrade button is not enabled.... (whether I have the bluetooth option on or off)

Kind of at a stand still. All other features of the system work great. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

  2. I'm not sure what is going on but simple directions to go to a local restaurant (which it had it's name and address) from my house sent me what seemed to be avoiding a pretty main drag road. I have checked all my settings on "acceptable" roads (gravel, toll, etc) and to be safe tried every which way. No matter what it doesn't seem to help. Coming back to my house from many local areas the GPS will say "It is not possible to get to the expected location with the route settings used." or something similar.

Is it possible they have an error on the type of roads or possibly don't connect my road or another road near by? It's about 3 year old area... funny enough my 2005 Cadillac GPS handled it just fine...

The GPS is keeping good track of my car's speed direction and location.

    Thoughts?

PS> I'm in the middle of trying LeetLauncher with my tom tom mobile maps to see if it's a unit or just software problem.

  3. I ended up cheating. I'm using the factory amp and an Access adapter on the Pioneer line out. Luckily the Access adapter has a way to "increase" the lineout volume. The sound isn't quite as clear as it was before at the same volume but nav and phone voices are easily heard. Maybe I'll find tune at some point or look into hacking higher volumne into the device but for now... I'm satisfied.

  4. I'm not getting any input from any external source. I am getting sound from the Phone / Navigation / FM / CD.....

    Running firmware 2.0 (from factory)

The only thing that seems to be 'unique' with my situation is that I'm using an Access connector to enable my factory amp. This means that I do not have anything connected to the powered speaker outputs on the pioneer and im using the line out.

I'm using the hardware bypass hack found here:

    http://www.avic411.com/wiki/index.php/Hand_Brake_Bypass

It is working quite well.... thanks to those who were involves.

I tried the "all in one" hack found here in case it had updates that solved my issue:

But that didn't fix anything (though did make it much more enjoyable)

Please provide any insight. My wife is desparate to use this guy!

  5. Well ... I just installed my new AVIC-F700BT. I haven't been with Pioneer in quite some time. It's in a Chrysler 300C using an Access CDT-01 device to keep the amp.

Smooth install but after a quick test drive, while the music is plenty loud, the navigation voice is far too soft. I played with the navigation settings and turned up the master and voice volume to 100% without much improvement. I'm suspicious I missed a setting or that it's because I'm using the line outs (to the amp) rather than the standard volume control....

If there is a hack to increase the volume I'm happy to try that as well.

PS> unrelated but plugging in a 16GB Patriot USB Drive sure took a long time for it to come up...then it took a long time to start the media (a movie which it did automatically). Long time = 45 seconds. It stuttered and froze the player. Just the type of file (HD) or does the non hacked player have issues like this?
