  1. The more I play, the worse it gets. Now it's virtually unresponsive. I'll post a video shortly to show how it is... If I have to get a new unit, do I have to eat the costs of the uninstall and reinstall of a new unit? That's gonna be $300! Because they sent me a broken unit?
  2. For instance, check this out: My unit DOES NOT work like that. He clicks, it goes. My unit either doesn't recognize my click, or sometimes just decides to wait forever and not do anything.
  3. So I messed around a little bit. Here's what I've found. If I boot up the unit and throw in a DVD, it works flawlessly. The screen is incredibly responsive, works just as well, if not better than my old AVIC-N1 unit. I take out the disc and go back to the main menu. I click on "Destination", perfect. Then I try to click on History, doesn't accept it. Then I click on POI, takes a second or two, then goes in. Then I select "from current GPS location". The text highlights and then.....nothing! Stays that way for about 20-30 seconds until I give up, hit the Menu key and go back to
  4. Trust me, I'm typically not one to complain. I knew coming in that this wasn't going to be a lightning fast system, but from what I read, I also expected it to work. Besides a few buggy things, the main problem I'm having is with the touchscreen. At times when I'm on the map, or at my ipod controls, I'll push where I want to click and it won't accept my click. I'll try again and it won't work. Then I'll give it a go and nothing. Maybe then 5 seconds later it'll recognize one of my clicks, sometimes two of them. I feel like I have to use the main buttons to re navigate when a scree
  5. My disc is getting old and is in pretty bad shape now. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could download the old 40MT gold discs? I don't really want to upgrade at this point since I'm not comfortable with the soldering process, and it's important for me to be able to adjust the navi while in motion. SO does anyone know where I can get one of these 40 MT discs? (East)
  6. I currently have an AVIC-N1 unit. It was in an old cavalier that died so I'm getting it moved to another car. When it was in my civic, I had some problems with it. The screen flipping out was messed up (apparently that's a common problem) so I removed the gears and now just keep it out always. There was also a problem with the NAVI. I couldn't enter addresses anymore, I couldn't scroll on the POI's....basically the entire NAVI features were busted besides watching the map and knowing where I was. My disc was very old and scratched. Was the problem due to that or the fact that I ha
  7. I'm going to have to learn a little bit more about Leet Launcher and then post any more questions I have....
  8. LOL, well thanks for your time. I understand that "forum vets" sometimes get a little frustrated when new guys come on and ask questions which have been asked before. But it sometimes gets frustrating to the "noobs" when the "vets" spend more time lecturing them to search and read then just helping to answer their questions. I've done much preliminary research and most importantly read over the forum sticky. From what I'm gathering it appears that many of those Tom Tom and IGo add ons are a big benefit to Euro users, not so much as American users. Could be completely wrong, but a basi
  9. Obviously a noob here. I've been doing some research mainly into the hardware aspect of my new AVIC-F90BT unit. I'll be having it professionally installed and then any additional mods I'll be doing myself, such as adding Sirius, iPod, possibly an external hard drive, etc. My question is about some of the software modifications. Not just the skins, but actual applications. I've looked into some basic things like "Test Mode" and understand the basic of how some of these software mods work. I'm just curious to learn about some of the basics. I looked over the sticky but didn't rea
  10. Anyone have any info on if this is possible?
  11. Is there any type of add on, or possibly just a built in feature where'd I'd be able to input numerical data and have it saved for the next time I enter in? I'm looking to do this to track my MPG on my vehicle. I wasn't sure if any of your fancy hackers had come up w. some sort of Microsoft Office add-on so I could use excel, or something with a similar function so I thought I'd ask.
  12. I'll be ordering the parts soon. Looking forward to seeing how this all goes for you.
  13. Just a reminder, I'm driving a 2009 Honda Civic LX, Automatic Transmission w. Grey Interior. Factory stereo, stock everything. All costs are before shipping and tax: 1. Honda EX -NAVI PANEL ASSY., CENTER Part No. 4907444 OWN ALREADY http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/aut ... RIVER+SIDE) I have no idea if it will work, but the dealer threw it in. I mentioned to him I'd be getting an aftermarket unit and asked him for the 09' Honda Civic EX-Navi centerdash piece. So it's the exact color match and has the double din opening for where the stock navi would've gone. Will that work?
  14. In a moment I'll post everything I have or plan on buying and you guys let me know if I'm missing anything.
  15. Anyone know of what's the cheapest the AVIC-F90BT is going for now? My best price I can find is $549.99 with $9.99 S&H http://www.cartoys.com/Default.cfm/p/Pi ... erralID=NA
  16. Interesting. Again, I'm not prepared to do an install like that myself, but good to see how it should go. I just watched your video once again and you said "I guess you have an after market part as well" in reference to the center dash piece. This isn't the case as the car is still 100% factory, cruising new with only about 300 miles on it. I just called up some local place and they said about $150 for the install. They then said abotu $75 to integrate the Sirius. You're saying that something like that I can simply do by removing the dash myself in just a couple minutes and tossing it
  17. Now I just have to make a final decision between: Kenwood DNX8120 Kenwood DNX6140 Eclipse ANV726E AVIC-F90BT For price reasons I think I'll be going with Pioneer on this one, but the other three options did look interesting.
  18. No more CC though. Does Best Buy do the trick? I certainly won't be buying from them though.
  19. Tweeter? $500? Crazy! $130 was much more of what I expected. Seems to be comparable to what I paid to get my AVIC-N1 installed years ago on my 01 Cavalier.
  20. Thanks a ton man. (nice shout out too) Now I can confidently get access to the head unit. I really appreciate it.
  21. Still waiting... "This video is unavailable" Come on youtuuuuuube
  22. Alrighty......keep clicking and waiting now, haha. Thanks again for the help.
  23. Hmm, that's not good. Not just a basic plug and play? Well keep me updated.
