is there any way to get the ipod working like it does in the avic software ? if that worked would be amazing and beat the avic software hands down

could it be the Data.zip file what does this control ? iv i try and run the files within windows CE they freeze the computer and make it reboot, the files i have tried are in the alp folder, the AV.exe Main Menu.exe and Nav.exe all freeze the computer.

could it have anything to do with the windows ce ? does the pioneer embed any settings into the file structure of windows ?

can i get the EU or UK bacup of the dirve will this work ? just want something to listen in my car

do you know where i can get some complete and uncorrupted files from ? iv tried the ones of this site but they wont seem to work or what i can search for to try and find the files

my problems started when i tried to restore my system to factory settings and the power got cut and the system had nothing on it so it caused it to reset every 10-15 secounds.

i managed to get that fixed with the files on this site, they are for my machine i have the f90bt US model, so this is what it does so far

it shows the pioneer screen, then nothing i press menu and it shows the menu.

i can press the settings button which shows the AV settings and AV Video settings neither of which i can press, i can press the Settings button which takes me into settings. the other two acknowledge the press but dont progress to the screen they should. the Contacts and Nav dont do anything either, the Contacts bring up a screen saying there are no contacts on the system but the phone settings button on the home screen wont work so i cant reconnect my phone to resync the contacts list.

the nav button bring up the "OK" screen for the acceptance of the user agreement but then it dosnt take me to the nav screen and the buttons turns blue as if it was pressed.

iv reinstalled the software twice via the update process but cant seem to get anything to work im stuck,

any help would be great any ideas anything im stuck and getting more and more anoyed

the screen registers the presses and changes the images as if they have been touched but dosnt bring up the next page, ie if i press the av button on the main menu it dosnt bring up the page to select what AV i want and that is the same on all the buttons im not sure what controls this any help would be great

mine is doing the same still, i can get into test mode replaced all the items from the 1-17 rapidshare files twice and loaded them onto the unit but then this turns off the settings button which is the only button currently working.

iv tried everything i can, it still dosnt even load into the main menu i have to press the main menu button, any help would be great also when i click in settings then system settings and then information, Maps shows nothing the one under it shows 2.000000 which is right as far as i know

im not sure if the file structure is wrong can any body help me with that

i was wondering if anybody can help me, iv done this and its kind of working although the splash screen dosnt come on and i have to press the menu button to view the home screen, then one the home screen only the contacts button works all the others allow me to press them and acknowledge they have been pressed but dont seem to be linked to anything i have deleted all the information twice and its still not working. i used the "F-Series F90BT Backup Files" that are on this site they are around 1.6gb

but im not sure what the file structure is, there dosnt seem to be as many files from when i saw the original set of files before it broke

any help will be great or any ideas

iv done the same, iv installed the update its about 200 mb ish but im getting the same maperror im going to try the new testmode and hoefully it will work.

but how do i get into Uboot ? is it software i have the file but dont know how the system reads it extracts or in the native format i dowload it in ?

yes i did, luckily, so there is nothing i can do ? its booting up though then either it tries to load something and it tells it to turn off or something else is causing it to turn off ie, cables or something or maybe my car. is there no way to connect the flash drive that is in the machine to my computer or something to read it and transfer the files .

the big that confuses me is that it loads for about 5 seconds then turns off its trying to do something but then something tells it to turn off ? any help would be great or ideas anything is good

i can load into boot mode for about 5 seconds it starts to copy the files as it does then turns off but the fan is still on and there is power although the lights to the map and menu buttons are not lite any more, iv tried the sd card with just the testmode files and it does the same, where can i find the Uboot and what does it do thanks so much for your help

an update on pioneer they said i can send it to who i bought it off they are saying i have to pay postage im in the uk they are in the states even though it is broke and it was broke before i kinda messed it up it was turning on and off every 2-3 mins or so. and pioneer has said send it to an authorized dealer and ill have to pay pioneer will have nothing to do with it even though all i told them is it wont turn on.

and this unit isnt even a week old

what does it mean if it boots up, goes into test mode 5-10 secounds later turns off but the fan is still going ? pioneer are saying a wire issue iv looked and they are fine they are saying i can send it to a repair not them an external company and pay barring in mind its less than a week old or send it back to where i got it from which was in the states and they are saying i have to pay for postage even though they have sold me a faulty item. any help before i send the item back thanks

iv done the same i think was trying to sort the resettings out but system cut out now there are no files on it at all, iv been trying to get into test mode from my sd card to replace the files as i did luckly back them up but it gets 75% done on the copying screen then the screen goes black and does nothing i dont no what to do any help please please

how do you get zrider on to your ststem ? i can put it into testmode but as its copying the files it startes to freeze and i cant close the copy screen or see anything else on there, if i try to close the copy scren i get green bars where the start menu should be and also where ever i press on the screen.

is there a fix for this please anybody ? i have a US 90bt unit trying to put uk or europe maps onto the system

hi, im new to this im trying to add a UK map on to a US model of the avic f90bt, iv got the test mode files and the igo8 files on a sd card, i put the sd card into the machine boot it up it copies the files then once its finished it goes away but leaves a green box behind. i then try to go to start all progs then exploror but it seems to crash and i cant close the copy screen down to see the desktop what ever i seem to click either leaves a green box behind it or crashes the system

any help would be great also im new to this got the unit yesterday had a look last nite for a few hours and need some help.

just a few questions if people dont mind thanks,

is the igo8 software an updated of the original navigate maps already on the system ?

what do i actaully need to add a uk map is it the same as tom tom you just write over the existing maps on the system folder with the ones i want and it will change them ?

the maps i have found on the net are named "UnitedKingdom8_2008.04_080526" is this correct for uk maps ?

To install the maps do i have to be in testmode or can you do it from the standard screen which it loads ?

last question, the igo8 prog lanuncer is this instead of the origianl front end software which came with the unit or is it used to add items to the pionner software already installed
