  1. nah, I would like to have it larger myself, but in the Main/AV interface, we only have the ability to change the pictures, not the UI

    Abb, While on this topic, would it be worth considering enhancing display of critical info as suggested in attached.Order is not important nor is inclusion of elevation except here in BC. I realize space is a consideration to allow for posted Speed Limit. Just a thought for what it''s worth. Sure do appreciate your considerable efforts.

  2. Abb,

    It seems that not everyone copies all the files to the right place, so I was wondering if it might be easier to put your upgrade into a single tree containing all files from the flash drive root.

    You could also include a batch file which would delete the userdata files with just a double click.

    I actually build the files into a tree as I copy the onto the SD for each upgrade to be sure I have all the files going into the right place. I don't think it would take you anymore time when preparing the uploads, and would save some people some time and frustration, which I know is what you are all about.

    wuddya think?

    fusion600 - Building on that good thought, if it's OK with ABB, why don't we do it for him and let him stay in design mode. It's a great idea, you/we might be able to do the complete mod on your PC in the heated comfort of your home with a backup copy of My Flash Drive and three trips to the car. One for the backup, one for the Mod install & new backup copy, and one for GFX/Schemes and new backup copy). It appears the two most common errors are failure to delete User Data and failure to delete enough maps/poi to accommodate new GFX. Perhaps we could address these points at least initially. I'm all for making things easier for better adoption. I just don't want ABB to take time away from enhancements (like bigger compass).

  3. Dragon24 - Thanks for sharing. Intend to just replace Canada map and related by extracting files below to SD card & copyig to appropriate folders in My Flash Drive (after backup):

    Canada_83_TA_2010.06_100813.fbl ~ file to MAPS (after deleting existing file)

    Canada_83_TA_Premium_2010.06_100813.poi ~ file to POI(after deleting existing file)

    device.nng ~ file to LICENSE (do not delete other license files although there is an existing file with same name)

    Pioneer_PNA_FEU7PPC@0710_(TA_only_,_RUS)_NN747.lic ~ file to LICENSE (do not delete other licence files)

    ezrider.exe ~ file toIGO (allow to overwrite exisitng file)

    Please indicate if this is correct (or possible) and will the new ezrider.exe be backwardly compatable with 2009.09 TA map files?

    Thanks again!

  4. Same two issues for me. I did install GFX correctly, or so I thought. I fixed it by going back and deleting the "ABB Evening" scheme in the folder.

    As for the trip computer nag screen...it is new for this version, isn't it? Haven't seen it until now. I don't use the trip computer, so it is truly a "nag" to me.

    Except for that one snag...this mod is absolutely perfect! Can't imagine how many hours you've got invested...you probably don't even want to know :o

    THANKS FOR SHARING! You're a class act.

    I had a minor GFX related error message during install'Error Code 50' Cannot Copy SKY0.BMP. Clicked 'OK' seems to work fine (until I call for a BMP starting with 'S' or beyond). Assummed it was a memory issue related to the size of that specific file, but worked before using attached instructions & it also transfered all 'Schemes' afterward. Totally enjoy & thanks again!Install Instructions.pdf

  5. Abb, What a tidy piece of work, many thanks for continued efforts.I shared the anticipation of the gent who resorted to cleaning his garage yesterday.

    A few questions prior to entering my frosty car for the file transfers:

    1. My understanding is, once installed, Testmode is no longer required becuase of Total Commander provides acess to all but DATA.Zip? If so, are there any changes (e.g., software bypass or omitting from install the Tahoma font files if personal preference) that should be done prior to install? Correct?

    2. Regarding 'New Schemes Instructions' want to clarify instructions as one point baffled me during the warmer months, Specifically, the reference to 'Install' simply means SELECT/COPY/PASTE from the SD Card to the appropriate location/level within the reference folder/directory? Correct?

    Looking forward to new experience and will provide feedback. Enjoy the day!

  6. Hello -

    My observations include (for what they're worth):

    1) What an incredibly brilliant piece of work (I've used every version without any issue worth mentioning);

    2) What an interesting, informative and telling WWW historic-cycle (this thread is a study in software development by one person (a very competent eCitizen) who took on the conception, development/QA, testing, training, communication, deployment and enhancements to the point of what appears to be probable frustration/exhastion);

    3) Although this may be WWW-incorrect, I'm prepared to pay to have access to a cmh928 newsletter/licensed support that will advise/provide mod updates particularly related to Pioneer 700/900 upgrades for the next 12/24 months (e.g., v.3 and/or new maps).

    Self interest is a great modivater. I have learned and benefited from this experience, and hope communication can morph into a form that supports and benifits cmh928 and those interested.
