The first two items are controlled in your unit's "settings". Push the MENU button top left next to the MAP button. Then push "settings" bottom right....browse to your hearts content.

 

As for the nag screen; look at the rest of this page... Doh!

Hmm, I can´t find how to disable the "Bing" before voice prompt. Could yo be more specific how to do that?

I also can´t find any settings to reduce the voice prompts, again, I don´t like that much talking, there was a possibility to edit a voice package to talk much, much less.

How do I get rid of the annoying repeating messages "in 800m ... in 500m ... in 300m ..." It ist way to much talk. I would like to have only one reminder 100m before to turn, maybe two. There was a german project (Shorty), but it will work with old iGo versions only. In short: reduce the talking to a minimum.

And I would like to get rid of the "ding", there was something to replace the wav files with silence, am I right?

Last thing, is there a way to disable the "Trip Computer is accessible" message nag screen? I never use it anyway.

Invalid Torrent ID! Try using the search.

Torrents are automatically removed from the database when they are no longer active.

As the title suggests, this mod was not updated since a long time (8 months now). You will have better chance to ask Abb for his Chrome mod V3.25, that is based on this one.

Does anybody use Chrome mod with european units, with european speed signs and so on?

And anybody knows how to get POI and speedcams for Germany?

I once had a PNA with iGo preinstalled. It talks way to too much, just like my F700. Some german guys made a modded voice guidance, which was much better. Has anyone ideas about his topic?

This is in additon of a "mute" button very nice. No need for hearing instructions 3 or 4 times, e.G. in 800m turn left, in 500m turn left... in 300m turn left, now turn left.... I find this annoying.

Confirmed ... its working great! Maps included.

Hi all,

after applying some mods:

having trouble to apply the 3.0 update. It won´t boot from any SD-Card, just ignores the update. Testmode will work.

Even if trying to upgrade WIN CE manually, it will stay at 5.0.

History:

Stock 2.05 then flashed to 2.07

Then applied WinCE donwgrade to get testmode working.

Wiped flash disk, then

Applied turboss UK V3 backup.

Still no update possible

Check this: only when the button lights are fading lights up an down this will work, otherwise it will go black after 20 secs.

Just press and HOLD the four buttons, relase eject and reset after 5 secs, then continue to hold menu and map for a while. this will help.

I had this once, there was a key stuck. Try to move every button on unit.

Would love to, but AFAIK in Germany the update isn´t available yet. So my dealer told me.

GREAT! This means, I have to use the hacked EZRider 2.07 and it will work with iGo 8.0 but otherwise it will have any improvements not regarding the iGo but the main unit?

1) Does this torrent has 8.0 maps or it has the new maps 8.3 ??

2) Does this update have the option of 2D (NOT north!) ?

3) Well this update works only on US units or i can add it to my Europe unit?

4) Since it is for US, and assume that it has 8.3 maps... i have to find and download some european 8.3 maps correct?

I tried to buy it but it wouldn't let me because I don't live in the US

I wonder how me and few other Avic owners that live outside US update our systems if we cant buy the update .

Unless of course EU update will work on US systems, but personally I would prefer to get US update for my system.

I live here in Germany, my reseller got wrong information about the update. They said, inside the package is a bonus CD with the latest maps inside - free. That was wrong, so I asked Pioneer.

They said that my reseller would contact me. He did, I will get my 3.0 update free of charge, but only because they told me wrong in the beginning.

But the main thing is, the "MediaMarkt" told me, that they only ordered plenty of this units because of the new included maps. Old headunit - new maps, low price. Here in Germany it is 799,- EUR for the 700BT and 999,- for the 900er. "Free" update included, but not yet delivered.

I had same problem. Solution was hard to find in my case.

My battery power on the red wire (ignition-cable), which turns the avic on and off drops sometimes under the limit, the avic responded to it with a sudden reboot. It takes sometimes 10-15 secs after I switched AC or another heavy load on, and the avic rebooted.

So I connected the red wire, which is normally connected to ignition diretcly to battery an I apllied a hardware switch to it, so I can switch my avic on/off even car is not running.

The problem with sudden reboots is gone now.

The following changes can be made to the sys.txt file located in \APL2\iGO.

Disable "GPS signal lost" (i.e. in a tunnel):

[interface]

no_gps_lost_warning=1

OK once more.

After downgrading you can use testmode again and do what you could do before updating to 2.007
