  1. Am I missing something?

yeah. wirelessly playing and controlling your music from your iPod/iPhone.

sure it doesn't sound 100% like the iPod cable, but for as loud as i play it? can't tell a difference.

    coolest $16 i've ever spent.

and yes, i also confirmed that you can in fact still receive/make calls with the AVIC bluetooth and speak through the AVIC's mic. Sprint is probably loving us right now.

cheers! thumbs up to whoever even stumbled upon the Anycom in the first place :D

  2. Awesome! do they sell these at any Sprint store do you have to order online and pay almost 7 bucks for shipping?

not too sure man. I just followed the link from the top of this page And ordered it off of Sprints website. yeah you pay shipping but, no matter how you look at it, you're still paying less than $20 for stereo Bluetooth capabilities, which I wouldve paid a lot more for.

  3. i bought my first f700 about 6 weeks ago, and tried the hardware bypass before the next morning. to my knowledge, i did it correctly, but after a week or so, i started noticing some weird problems it was having - like the screen would go blank after startup, but still load after another minute or so. then a few days later, the splash screen would load and go completely blank... the nothing.

i took the unit back to CarToys and the install manager reemed on me for even trying the bypass, but reluctantly replaced my unit for me. so... what'd i do when i got home? tried the bypass again, only doing it very slowly and making sure i did everything properly. it's been a little over a month and all is still well.

my best for you is, there's something in these units that virtually 'fries' the software if they aren't connected as cocher as they'd like. i guess either try another bypass and do it exactly as this site says, or properly install the unit, all grounds and whatnot included.

    best of luck! :D

  4. IT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    My equipment:

AVIC F-Series 700 w/ massive and ugly iPod cable

    16 GB iPhone 3GS

    Sprint Anycom Bluetooth Dongle

Ok guys, i literally registered for this forum about 5 minutes ago, just so I could post that this actually works!!!!

I ordered my little Sprint bluetooth dongle, plugged it directly in to that massive and ugly ipod cable, went in to AV settings and switched AV1 to Video, and VOILA!!! streaming stereo bluetooth from my iPhone 3GS!!!

btw, the PIN for the Sprint FIPO is 0000.

i haven't tested whether or not i can still get calls like this, but the iphone does recognize that i'm connected to both the FIPO and the Avic so i don't know why it wouldn't work, but who knows.

anyways, cheers! and go spend $10 so you can stream stereo bluetooth too!!!!!
