  1. December 15 update from Andr2000 (Firmware 3.x)

+ Added button to return to Navigation screen from Route Planning screen

    + Integration with Avic_Net

Hi Boris, The December 15 version suffered the same rebooting problem like the earlier version. I removed the "no screensaver" codes, it is working fine so far. :D:D:D

Ah, cool. By the way, where do you remove them (I haven't looked at code in a while) from? I might as well upload a US-specific version with no screensaver...

I removed the codes from the two files and so far so good. BTW I am using F500BT US version.

  2. Hi Boris,

Just wanted to let you know that I installed the Dec 2 version and had the same rebooting problem like the earlier version. I deleted the files in the save directory. It booted up and went well the first time. But it rebooted itself when I turned it on the second time. This is the best mod I like very much and it is a pity I cannot use the latest version. Anyway thanks for the great effort and appreciate it very much.:wink::wink:

  3. I took the new Nav mod for a 60 miles ride yesterday. The latest version worked out very nicely. It was clear and clean. One thing I noticed however was that the settings I put before ride were lost when I turned on the unit again. Any ideas :?::?::?:

It should keep them. Which settigns were they, and do you override any of them in SYS.TXT?

No. I lost the Smart Zoom setting. In particular, Limt to zoom in/out. I like it to be 200ft and 300ft.

  4. I re-installed the original 2.006 firmware to get TTS working. However after I replaced APL2 with the 3.0 version, TTS was no longer working. Looks like some files were replaced that makes TTS not working. Any idea what went wrong?

    1) make sure you have the correct device type setup in the sys.txt file.

    2) put your original license file into License folder, in your case, you should have two license files: your original license file and the generic world license file

If you still having problem, post back I will try to post my Voice and Language files to my internet share

I checked again. Yes, indeed I have those setup. Still TTS doesn't work.

    1) [device]

    type="PIONEER749UC"

    2) Two License files

    Appreciate your help.

When I say the original license file, I mean the one from your original backup, not the one from the x910bt 3.0 package.

Anyway, I will upload my language pack to my share (see at Page 4), you can check there in a about one hour or so.

Susan and Dave high quality TTS is in 84MB package, you don't need this package if you only want Samantha TTS.

Thanks, yeek. Just to confirm that the original 200.6 firmware license is needed to make TTS work. Now there are three licenses in the folder and they are in no conflict. :D:D:D

  6. ScanSoft under iGO directory is there. I installed TTS from 2.006 firmware again, still didn't work. I think this is nothing to do with Gurjon skin. It's something that is not working. How can I re-install the entire TTS/Voice module? Any suggestion? Thanks ...

In you sys.txt, do you have the correct device type? eg if you are F500BT US mode, you should have type="PIONEER749UC".

If still not working, you can try to find voice and language files from other downloads and just copy them to the /iGO/Content/Lang and /iGO/Content/voice folder accordingly. If you want to use Loquendo TTS files, like Susan and Dave, you will need also the related DLLs and the TTS_LOQ software folder.

  7. I have been using Gurjon skin on my Mio-PNA and like it very much.

Now I just updated my F500BT to the errider 8.3 version and run the latest 8.3 maps very smoothly. The firmware is 2.0006. I tried to install Gurjon skin but F500BT didn't boot up. The screen just stays in "system in progress... " Wonder if this Gurjon version only works with firmware 2.006? Appreciate your help.
