  1. Hey guys, I have a Z110BT that seems to have suddenly developed a problem with the BT mic.

    Here is what happened:

I had it installed for about 6 months in an '05 Escalade. No problems at all, and the BT mic seemed to work just fine. I removed it because I decided to sell the Escalade. I replaced it in the Escalade with a Pioneer 3200BT, and left the mic in the Escalade and hooked up the 3200BT. All worked fine.

I then intalled it in my '04 Lincoln Navigator. I tried the mic that came with the 3200BT. It didn't work, so I removed the mic from the Escalade and put that in the Navigator.... Well of course that one didn't work either!!

So that is where I am at now. The mic is the original mic, but I can't get it to work. Very little to no sound on the other end. I made sure the mic is in the right hole, and that it is plugged ALL THE WAY IN.

Oh ya, I tried it with multiple phones too, so it isn't that!

    Any thoughts??

  2. I had the F90 with a ton of mods. It was still absolute garbage compared to the Z110

Why do you think that? I had an F90BT, now a Kenwood 9140 that I am not happy with...

    ELABORATE! :D

    Thanks!

  3. I am having this audio drop out problem on my new F90BT. I seem to be getting it on other sources besides the IPOD though... I have noticed it on DVD playback and FM radio playback.

Sounds like an internal analog path issue? Anybody else have this problem on other sources besides Ipod?

If you're hearing it on other sources, then it's not the ipod channel issue..

Look hard at any amp and or speaker wiring..

Zero problems with my factory nav unit... It is in an '05 Escalade. I used the Metra adapter, and of course sound is output from the F90BT to the factory Bose amp. Again, never had this problem until the install, which leads me to believe it is either the harness or the Pioneer. And since others have reported similar problems with the head unit, it points me in that direction.
