I've noticed both 4 and 5
The only good I see out of choosing the S1 was now I won't waste $1.5K on a pioneer indash unit

Honestly, no I would not. Of course one of the things I wanted most was the bluetooth feature, which is nice and works well, it just as good/convient as I thought. Also I was well aware of the in-dash models reputation, so I thought it would carry into the portable model. However, for some reason they decided to go with a different map company which IMHO is not as accurate as it should be

Instructions on how to update your S1 with this software are to come.
since I'm at work, does the manual have instructions on how to do this?
-
yeah happens to me all the time. Hopefully the Z2 software update will fix these and other issues.
Any idea when that is?
Also I don't understand why they wouldn't use the same maps that they use in the in-dash units?

maybe fastest or shortest is selected and you want the other options. check it out and switch it and see how it works
Tried them all and they all seem to do the same thing

Anyone else having problems with the routes? It always seems to want me to get off the highway to cut through a city to get to the next highway instead of just taking the next exit to go directly to that highway

I downloaded the file from ZiUL, and put the SD card in my system. I tried just turning it off and on, and turning it off and on using the hold menu and volume buttons. all I ever got was the blue screen that ZiUL told someone else not to touch.
Also I tried finding the 3.3 version on torrent, but all I ever saw for US maps was individual states
Thanks!
edit to add- I am using a 1GB SD card that I previously used in my camera. I did format the card in my camera before downloading the file
