  1. I'm looking for the original files (as replaced in the instructions for this mod) or any that were overwritten by the process. I need to return it so as it appears brand new and unmodified.

    from APl2\iGo (5 files titled "bnt.ttf", "DATA.zip", “Branding.zip”, “Digital.ttf” and "sys.txt" )

    from APL2\iGo\Content\Speedcam ( 3 files here Red_Light_Camera_us.txt, Speed_Trap.txt, and SpeedcamUpdates.spud)

    from APL2\iGo\Content\Voice (file Voice_TTS-nua-eng-us-f1.zip}

    from APL2\iGo\Content\SCHEME (Copy 4 files here Pioneer_red_day.zip, Pioneer_red_night.bmp, Pioneer_blue_day.zip and Pioneer_blue_night.zip}

    try this:

    http://browntownpr.fileave.com/downloads/APL2.rar

    hope that help!

    **keep in mind that some files from this mod were addons.

  2. Actually, it would be a disadvantage as that reading data from an SD caard is a LOT slower than reading it from Flash. I think it would cause performance issues big time as well as an occasional crash. That is why I would not even consider that. All my maps are on TA, and NT have just canada and New York as I dont travel anywheres outside of that, and if I do, I will just use my TA maps.

    that is not completely accurate! It is true that flash is more faster than sd but, I have been running the entire content folder from sd since the map changer and never had any issue.

    Could you post the script you use, I would at least like to test a couple scenarios with it.

    I've often found (in my life) what works for one may not work for another. Although I do prefer more faster...

    Another thing, mostly for fun...

    If you put

    content="Storage Card\IGO\Content"

    in the [folders] section of sys.txt and copy content folder form th? flash disk, you can run iGO with data off of the storage card... rather handy if you want to experiment with different maps, schemes etc.

  3. do you see any benefit to try moving the igo folder and all maps to an sd card to free up space on the unit and have all the NT maps? I read some about it but it doesn't seem to be ready for prime time.

  4. Thank IDT. I have the same maps in both MAPS and map_nt folders, I assume that is ok. I am still not able to access the nav system now though it doesn't reboot, it just reverts back to whatever music screen I was on. This is no matter if I try to access the map button or navi setting. The other interesting thing is that when I restart the AVIC, I hear a Windows start up sound.

    I have modded the sys text and will see if that will work. If in US, I am use the Data and sys from the 5.5 standard download, from the standard only folder (not eu or MSN as I don't use MSN)

    If you don't have any ideas on this, i am just gonna reformat the whole nav and let it be. No biggie.

    Sir,

    there is one way to find out about your problem. let me explain;

    when you start you vehicle and your HU is starting up, wait until you see the Main screen with the little warning sign and click setting on the bottom right corner and then click navigation. If there is a problem, you would see a little error windows. (i.e, can't find maps, or something like that)

    For the maps, if you want to use navteq, put your navteq maps and basemap file on your map_nt folder.
