  1. Sorry for bringing up this old thread but I have a question with the bypass.  I already have bypass my stereo to watch dvd on the go but now I just got the BTB200... does this has to be bypass as well? If so, when I got my btb200 unit from a seller it has 3 wires (red, black and yellow) and the stock pioneer wire is yellow and black.  How can I do this?

I circled with a cyan color over the 3 wires from the btb200 on the right and the two circled on the left is from the harness to the avhp4200.  Also I'd like to add there is no fuse connected to the yellow wire (the stock has a built in fuse holder) is it ok to tap it in without the fuse?  Thanks!

  2. Ok guys I really hope someone can help me out. I want to be able to view my iPhone 4s on the AVH p4200 however after hooking up the AV cables and the usb on the back of the unit the audio does not play only video however after removing the usb the audio works fine however I would like to have my phone charging while viewing my phone (youtube, web ect....)

I was informed about the cd-iu200 and vcd-iu201v and notice it uses the AUX cable to hook it up and it charges the phone and plays (songs and videos) however does it allow you to have a display out option for those who have jailbroken iPhones so we can view everything.

  3. I have a AVHp4200 dvd and use to have my HTC touch pro hooked up to it with av cables (tvout) to view the display on the screen and play audio/video.

I went ahead and purchased a av cable (amazon prime) for my iphone 4s and first plugged it into my tv to test it out and it worked just fine.

I than replaced the wires on my AVH stereo and made sure all the plugs were in right and when I plugged in my iphone 4s to the connector the display shows but there is no audio at all.. playing pandora, games, youtube, music ect... I messed around with the settings in both stereo and phone but no luck.

the only thing I found that made the audio play is if I received a phone call which is weird however during conversation I can't hear over the speakers only over the phone which sucks.

Any clue on what is wrong?

  4. I plan on purchasing a iphone av cable to be able to view videos over my reciever and I notice that with the AV cable it has a USB cord connected to use as a power use. My question is on the back on of the AVH - p4200 there is a USB port, if I have it connected will it be used to charge my iphone while connected?

    Thank you!

  6. wired in series, will give you a higher resistance, which will lower the power output causing less volume (and kind of defeating the purpose of adding more speakers)

If I were to just wire them in series, the only issue I would have is that they would produce less power since its being shared between the rear and the additional speakers correct? if thats the case I'm some what fine with that because one of the big reason why I'm adding the additional speakers is for when I open my trunk up. The 2 subs has to much bass which you can't really hear much of the treble/high/mid and I just wanted to throw some speakers near them to give off that. Doing this wont effect none of the other speakers (tweeter/door) correct?

  7. well, since the avh's only have a built in 4ch amp, you will either need to add a amp to drive them or you will have to wire them in series with the existing rear speakers which will result in a higher resistance and lower volume from them, you best bet would probably be to disconnect the factory rear speakers and re run the speaker wire from the radio all the way to the new locations

Hmm I don't really like the idea of leaving the factor rear speakers out... you mentioned if I wear to splice the factory rear with the new additional speakers they won't sound as good? Can you elaborate on the higher resistance and lower volume? I want to understand exactly what happens and whats causing it if possible.

    Thanks bro :)

  8. I purchase a pair of 5.25-Inch 2-Way 140-Watt Speaker so I can place both of them in the back center near the window. (I'm making a custom fit for them)

I don't want to hook them up to my 1200 amp, I just want them for mids. I was told I should hook them up to my rear channel however I'm not sure how to do so. I have a avhp4200 and I have a eclipse 2 tweeters in front, 2 on the doors and 2 on the back seat floor panels and 2 subs in the trunk. As I mention I want to install 2 more behind the back passenger seat in the back center. If possible could someone give me a full layout on how to do this?

  9. Maybe the two following idiotic statements you made to me may have something to do with people not answering you. I know thats why I am not.

Tell us why you choose to pay tons of cash on a mac than building your own pc? and please don't say its because it has better video/picture editing of better multitasking lol we all know thats a load of $h%t

Mac people don't know how to hack or build computers lol

those or not idiotic statements those are facts.

  10. the D3's get all of there data for the gauges from internal gyro sensors the it has internally for the NAV system, i thought they used to have a add on module for the regular mobile video units.

so your saying the navi system is what gives the gauges for any model (including avh)? I may have to pick one up if thats the case.
