So I paid for another year of speedcams via POIBase.com. I got a new unit so I formatted a micro SD card with FAT32.
Then loaded all speedcams for The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and France using POIBase to the SD Card.
Inserted the card in de F950DAB and it asked me to install "blackspots" . After I clicked OK it said it had installed "PIOBase Speedcam" POI's.
In Settings > Navigation Settings the option Speedcams is turned on. There are no speedcams in the normal POI list in which you can select what to show on the map.
Whenever I approach a speedcam nothing happens and nothing it showed on the map.
Any ideas?

I'll volunteer if you still need data from the F950DAB to remove the nagscreen etc.

I just had my X950DAB/F950DAB fitted. Now when my lights turn on the unit doesn't go into nightmode so now I'm driving around town with an annoying bright screen in the car.
In the settings it's set to automatic. If I remove the unit from my dash what should I look for?

I have noticed. Alot less detail on the maps when at the same zoom level as the F9110, speedcam warnings for speedcams not on route etc.
Is the 950 any better or is it basicly the same unit?

My F9110 got stolen again last week so I had a F940 fitted yesterday. Managed to get my speedcams imported after a struggle with too much POI's and I'm now looking for some mods.
Apparantly there are no real mods for the F/X940? The F series forums are filled with mods but there are non in the X series forums here.
Also, does anyone know how to get the latest maps for the 940? Does it still run on iGo? I managed to get the 2013 European maps working in my F9110, would like to know if and what maps I can copy over using testmode on my 940.
Last question: Is it possible to remove the annoying "sky" in 3D view? I just want to see the map, no fake sky.

The 9110 used iGo, any idea what the 940 uses? Can't find any map updates or mods on these forums.

My F9110 got stolen for the second time last sunday. I'm in the market for a new Pioneer but the new 950 is about $1300 in Europe which is out of my budget.
I'm looking at the X/F940 but I can't really tell if this has the same 3D like navigation as the F9110. Anyone with a 940 care to elaborate?
Also, what are the differences between de 940 and 950. Can't really find any major ones.

The European 950 (F950-BT) costs about €1000 which currently is $1300.The world isn't fair.

It's an NZB file to download the maps from Usenet.
I have found newer maps last night TA 2012 Q2. I installed Firmware version 4 on my unit with the Windows CE upgrade and those Q2 maps. The unit feels a lot snappier and my speedcams and POI's are working again
Will post later this week.I still need a Dutch sys.txt because the navigation part of my AVIC is now in English.

Well I've encountered a few (bugs?) issues myself.
Apparantly all of my POI's are gone and my speedcams don't work no more. The latter probably because of the POI's.
When I browse through my POI's it just returns a blank list and none of my speedcams i bought from POIBase work, this did work in the previous maps. I'll boot into testmode again after dinner to check if everything it still there but if anyone has any tips please post

Did you download from Usenet? Try to repair with the PAR files, otherwise re-download. The files were packaged using 7-Zip.

TomTom took over TeleAtlas. So the maps now belong to the company TomTom but they are for this unit.
If you have not enough free diskspace try to remove some unneeded voices or .DEM files. I removed Asia, Australia etc. and removed some voices since I only use the Dutch ones

Yeah I'm trying to keep it vanilla. Most mods here have amazing functionality but look horrible.

Also, for TMC traffic information. You need to enable that and select a radio channel to get TMC info from (if i'm correct, I could be wrong, the Audi MMI navigation also works that way

Delete the MAP and POI folders from the unit first and then copy the new folders over to the unit. This way there should be enough space available. If not, just delete some unused voices for example.
I deleted all the russian, polish, french, spanish, german etc. voices. I never use them. You can also delete from .DEM files for the USA etc if they are on your unit.

Is the folder called PIO? If that's the case I made a slight mistake
If it's not working then I can't help you, I'm not running these maps on my unit. -

Navteq 2011 Q4 (Released in 2012) Maps for the United States & Canada
For Europe see: European 2012 Q1 TeleAtlas/TomTom Maps - Complete Guide
I have not tested these maps as I live in Europe but they should work just fine. Please report so if it does work for you and which unit you use. This should also work for the F700 and up. Not sure about the F500.
I haven't updated to firmware 4 yet but this should work for firmware 4.x as well.
Instructions:
- Download the files below
- Extract them to the root of your SD card
- Insert SD card with only the folders from the ZIP file in the root
- Boot the unit in testmode (if you have the testmode folder in the root this will happen automagically)

Make a complete backup of the flashdrive! (Instructions)
- Verify your backup is correct and copy this over to you PC so you have 2 backups.
- Go into the iGo/CONTENT folder. On my unit this folder is located in the APL2 folder.
- Delete the MAP, POI and LICENSE folders
- Copy the MAP, POI and LICENSE folders from the SD card to the flashdrive of your unit
- Copy the EZRIDER.EXE to the iGo folder, replacing the file already there

Now reboot the unit, remove the SD card and enjoy the latest maps

The only thing I found is a Torrent with the latest Navtew 2011 maps from Quarter 4. There aren't TomTom/TeleAtlas maps, some people prefer one or the other.
I'm downloading them right now and will upload to Usenet later. In the mean time you can use this Magnet link and paste it into your Torrent client:

Alright. Even my official VW dealer couldn't find the problem.... They're also pretty expensive so I did not have them spent hours on it.
I'll drop my car at my local satnav installer and have them look at it.
