Just a heads up... you could have tapped the reverse wire which is teal, and that's near the drivers side seatbelt pillar area.

I ran it back all the way to the rear strut bar. Popped the plastic off of it and placed it there. then put everything back... very stealthy and works great and stays in place perfectly.

Disable the clock on regular screens or the on the Vehichle dynamics screen? on regular menus that clock is so small and in a corner I usually have a problem finding it on a glance.

I got my T-Mobile Dash to work today. Jetware ftw! Now I wonder if it'll still work after the evaluation ends So if anyone needs help with the Dash shoot me a msg.

I had problems installing my pac swi ps in my nissan... but it turns out i misread things...

your red power wire on the pac unit should be hooked up to your accessories red wire on the harness, not the +12V constant yellow.

After i corrected that I was able to program the version and buttons just fine!

Go somewhere else... like an actual stereo shop.. a reputable one too. Dealers just yank your chain and are going to send it to a stereo shop too, but they're gonna take more money from you and the rest goes to the stereo shop.

you'd be paying double for the 6800 setup vs a D3... maybe you should compare with z1/2.

But anywho an all in one solution is the easiest and I think that's what people on here prefer

Your maxima has a lot of technology in it ...

D3 is cheap like that and won't display navi at the top

What I think you should do is go with a Z1/2 to give you the options of the D3 plus some more... Navi @ that level and position can get annoying to me, much easier to have it elevated at eye/road level. And the buttons are blue so itll match your dash too.

But that's up to you as long as you enjoy the unit now

Well there goes your problem... check the ignition wire... if you connected that wire to a power source other than just the car harnesses ignition wire that's the reason why its staying on.

Oh cool. Just wanted to confirm because I know the Kenwood 7100 did not allow you to do this.

I was wondering if this is possible? I've searched and didn't find anything on this topic yet. Reason being is that where my headunit is placed is a little low for viewing maps and I'd constantly be looking up and down. I'd rather display it on a monitor at a better viewing angle.

Is it possible to output the Navigation to another screen then?

Very nice. Coming from a 7017 Kenwood has done a great upgrade. Would love some pics of navigation.

and also... is your camera's image a mirror image or left to right?

If you don't understand... its like... when viewing the camera does it look like your looking through your rear view mirror...

or is the camera picking up like a regular camera to where it was presenting as if you were looking at it through your own eyes when you turn around.

I'm trying to find a cheapo mirror image camera because im so use to the review mirror image.

Seems to be cost effective to go with burned DVD's. But a hassle if you're gonna use navi more often.

Everyones recommending the Avox jukebox but it's a toss up to me but if you'd see yourself using an mp3 player daily I'd go with the ipod because it can be used more often outside of the car also.

You'd lose your touch screen controls. The Avox is like a portable HD with more HD space. The cost depends on the size of HD you decide to get, but the avox alone is 100 at the cheapest?

The ipod you get touchscreen controls and better portability as an mp3/video player. The video quality may not be as good but that may depend on compression. Pick up a new ipod for like 225$ or used for less.

Burned dvd's... 10-15$ in a 50 spindle at your local fry's electronics? but live with swapping out navi and music/video discs.

BTW: a place to download videos and music, you should try learning how to use torrents.

man that speed sensor wire didnt look easy to get to. looks good. From the pics the amber color of the nissan interior didn't match with the D3? D3 was set on amber/orange also for the lit buttons?
