what i am guessing is that which ever store actually has them yesterday are fully authorized pioneer dealers. if you guys have questions or need help just pm me. ill do what i can while these are in stock. my shop says there will be a shortage after these batches are gone. pioneer told them that there is a large demand and that they have estimated they wont be able to make enough for the first few months.

so i was going to go to the shop tomorrow but i couldnt wait any longer. so i stopped by today to see it. i didnt have the funds with me today so i didnt pick it up. so the nex 8000, the screen wasnt turned on yet but it was just amazing still. the screen was glass or very hard acrylic plastic. either way its just like my cell phone. feels really nice when i touched it. i was the one who opened this very first unit that they got. it is mine i wish i had time to turn it on but im not worried, ill play with it when i install it this week. im also picking up the satellite tuner to go

hey guys. i was wondering how many are in socal? i am planning on doing another install in my car. i have been doing car installs for years. so i am not a novice by anymeans. my next replacement for my honda accord will be the nex 8000. i was curious who elese is close to me and also planning on doing a new install or even an upgrade. i usually like to meet new people who are into the same hobby as i am. hope to meet nice new people here.

now lets see who gets the 8000 first. what prices are you guys getting?

wow all these stores are just back pedaling on their time frame, so they can lock you in with your prepayment.

i havent seen any specific pioneer tuners but i have seen some portable tv's now that are digital. so i know they have made progress with mobile digital tuning.

so everyone who is selling it is just trying to get people's deposits first? my local store said it would be here at the earliest at the beginning of april. that was back in january 2014 and they didnt need my prepayment for me to get one. at the time i didnt like the answer because of all these other online stores saying they would get it early march. i guess my local store were more realistic. i plan on replacing my stock speakers in an honda accord. where are you all located? anyone else doing more than a head unit replacement?

dont worry if they arent an authorized dealer. all that means is that the warrenty is not covered by pioneer. the reason i say this? i buy from authorized dealers all day long and guess what, rarely do they ever cover what is claimed. i always ended up paying for full price and any cost of repairs that ever comes up. trust me its just a stupid method they use so that stores dont under cut their products. example, i had an eclipse motorized single din with pop out 7inch screen. one day it stopped working. brought in the unit to the store who was an authorized dealer. they said they wont cove

take your money back and go elsewhere!

im not far from you. im excited with all the new options i hav been missing that others have had. all i wanted was pandora and new maps. bonus for me: HD radio, capacitive touch screen, updated version of xmsirius, mirror link, pinch and zoom, built in bluetooth, USB, free live nav traffic. i think people now a days are jaded and spoiled. if you give them a free burger, these same people say where is the free fries and drink?

ill call tomorrow to the shops around me so see if anyone got it.

how much is he selling it for? how many will he be getting? i was talking to a store yesterday. they are usually priced low with car audio equipment. i wonder if they will do a special for everyone here?

anyone know of a good looking USB extension end that will be flush if i drilled a hole somewhere and mount it? im not sure if im explaining clearly. im basically using it have it permanently somewhere near the console and plug in and out the flash drive full of music. maybe videos if it plays off the USB??

yeah i feel the same way too, that this is the time. waiting for a final product will not always come quickly enough. did you get an exact date yet? i keep reading different dates all the time.
