  1. Hi,

I think, only one option to import custom poi to the navigation is thru USB, so when you save your new poi to the right directory on the phone and enable mass storage mode, avic should find it and load. Second option is by SD card, but it is not easy applicable with phone :)

Well the problem is, given the size of the recent cards for phones (32gb, 64gb etc) the AVIC just locks up if I enable USB Storage mode on the phone. It can't address that many folders and files. I also looked into wireless flash drives like Seagate Goflex Satellite and Airstash but they can only be connected to either wifi or usb, not both at the same time.

  2. Hi guys, I've written a little script in my Android phone, so that I can type any location on Google Maps and export the POI to a file that AVIC can understand. (kind of like Avic feeds but for the phone) Here is the deal, I have to put this file to the root of AVIC's SD card or USB flash drive and connect to my AVIC. It is such a hassle. Is it possible that with this mod, I can just send the file over bluetooth? What protocols are supported in avicnet's bluetooth stack? I can connect an additional bluetooth dongle to AVIC's USB if need be. Thank you.

  3. I did some research and it seems that xcpuscalar doesn't support our CPUs. (that error code means that) Overclocking is very CPU specific, we should identify the CPU spot on, if we want to do this. How do you know it's an ARM 1136? I couldn't find this info anywhere else, and it only seems like a family name, not a specific CPU. The specific cpu for that family looks like MSM7227 and there are options for it on Android only.

  4. The problem is the hacked click from this hack. I suspect this hack sometime clicks on the map instead of the nag message, thus the freeze with a target/cursor on the map. Yeah, you will have this program only when there is no GPS lock at the beginning, or when you are off the route, like in a parking lot of shopping centres.

Only Carver can address this but he doesn't seem to be around now ...:twisted:

I would never wait 120 seconds, I would press MAP instead  .

I patched the file for various delay times, like 60 seconds, 90 seconds etc. And it works as intended, It switches to map mode after the satellites are locked. Only problem is, it does this only after a hot restart. (not very long time is passed after you turn off and on ignition) When you make a cold restart (like an hour or so) the system seems to forget that you were in map mode and never presses the map button. It stays at the main menu. I dont think the hack clickes on the nag screen, it would definetely show up when I'm waiting 60 seconds before automatic map click. The problem for me right now is, system doesnt remember it was in navigation mode.

  5. Yes, I have such the same problem.

when leaving the garage - often the satellites are not immediately, and the map freezes.

possible reason - igo / ezrider. I do not know.

problem has always existed, but before MAP pressed later,

    so the problem was noticeable.

Is it possible to generate Map button press like 120 seconds from boot up? This way the satellites will be locked and no manual keypress will be necessary.

  6. upd 29.12.2010 update for 3.020200 version, UC or EW

with a new phone call - AVIC always switch to MAP screen.

in first post i attach modified \My Flash Disk\APL\Tel.exe,

after his replacement, when an incoming call on AVIC remains an old window.

This is a test version, since I do not use the phone with AVIC.

    please leave feedback about problems.

    thanks

hey carver, any chance you can take a look on "map not following the car at first start issue"? I gave the details on my post right above yours. Thanks a lot for your efforts.
