  1. Senhores... tudo bem?

Alguém poderia me dar uma luz? Ou passar os arquivos de voz que vcs estão usando? Eu estou usando os de um iGO 8.5.3 de Março 2012 que peguei no gpspoint.com.br.

Se alguém puder ajudar ficaria muito grato!

  2. Hi folks, I would like to start this topic so that we can help each other to get our F series units playing videos off of SD/USB card.

I have some Divx (xvid) in .avi format I've downloaded from the web and some of them works. However, they're not optimized to the Pioneer AVIC F series resolution, etc and I would like to find out the 'best video codec setup' in order to convert my videos.

I'm planning to use Handbrake once it's available for all main platforms (Mac, Win and Linux) and it's a very flexible tool for encoding/decoding videos.

I've read the specs in the operation manual and tried to match them using Handbrake for encoding some sample videos.

Here is one of the videos which works:

I'm trying various settings and couldn't get anyone yet to work.

Lets join forces here and find out a "perfect video codec setup" and then I can share a Handbrake preset with everybody here.

    Looking forward your feedback!

    Gabriel.

  3. With regards to album art, it can display art if you use an ipod/iphone but no album art is displayed for USB/SD cards.

hummm... that's bad. What about X920BT??? Does it support album art when playing musics from SD/USB?

    Cheers...

  4. So I patched the file a couple of times and it made the unit think the Park break was off, even tho the park break was ON, ya its pretty disappointing i wanted it to do the opposite. so it isnt as simple as a thought. but keep in mind im a total noobie at this. Ill keep on trying and and update you if i get anywhere.

Well, at least there is someone trying to get it done... :-) Don't give up! :-D

*Note: Does anyone know if X910BT can display album art for MP3 files? And which version of ID3 tag does it support?

    Regards,

  5. I'd like to try this.

Patch the firmware for the X920BT, from the AVIC site. link : http://ds1.downloadtech.net/cn1010/firmware/AVIC/AVICZ110.zip

Put the patched firmware on the SD card, Use it to update the patched files to the Unit.

Do you think this might work or not?

    Thanks

Is this a patched firmware for the Z110? If yes, they X920BT could be possible also right? I think they share the same OS... Hope this get to somewhere!

  6. Hi jazzzjackrabbit, good you're trying and I wish you all the luck... :-) You've said "patching this unit seems simple enough"... That's a strong phrase... So, do you think u will be able to hack it soon?

And a question about X910BT... Does it displays the album art from MP3 files, reading ID3 tag? And does it accept ID3 v2?

    Cheers...

  7. Go with the X910! It is moddable and you will be able to update your maps as they come out, so you will ALWAYS have a system with the latest maps. Lol, my X910 has newer maps than the Z120 and the X920. After three years, these systems will be obsolete because of the maps and the X910 will still be up to date :)

Because of the OS, you will NOT be able to hack the X920 like you can the X910 or the F series.......EVER!

Thx abb1. I will follow your recommendation and get the X910BT. How long does it take to boot? And here at the forum we should have threads already discussing how to add maps, change voices, etc right? (I will start searching...).

And last but not least, is there a way I could change the system language to Portuguese?

    Cheers...

  8. Yes, you are in test mode, however, you are not in a windows environment like you are with WinCE that is found in the F series, or the X910. Therefore, you will not be able to change any files......ever! The advantage to not having a windows OS, is that it does not go through the booting process that windows CE does, therefore, it starts up much quicker and is more responsive. However, not being able to change the appearance, features, or newer maps is a poor trade off :(, one that I will never do.

So currently, for the ones that needs foreign maps (Brazil in my case) the way to go is the X910BT, isn't it? Today I ALMOST bought the X920BT... It was on my cart... in the last page... And with some more research I've found the threads here that document the hacking is not possible... I was wondering that it could be done soon... but it seams it won't right?

Does anyone know about a coupon/discount/rebate for the AVIC-X910BT?

    Cheers...

  9. I bought this unit, and also live in Brasil (São Paulo). Now I'm stuck without any maps, so don't buy the X920BT or you will end up like me. Get the X910BT.

    Abraço!

    Cassio

Oh, my... I was afraid of hearing that... :-( That SUX! :-( ... Entering the Test Mode didn't help? Do you think that it might be possible in a near future? And what does the X910BT misses? Which features we have on 920BT that we don't have on 910BT? I'm reading and found a bunch already:

    • No MusicSphere
    • No Pandora Link
    • No video playback on SD card, only on CD/DVD
    • 5.8" against 6.1" - This is not a deal breaker, tough

Could you guys list some more missing features? As it was hacked already, it might be possible to get some of those features on a hacked X910BT, wouldn't be?

    thx... (I'm SAID! :-( )

  10. Ok it does appear this is totally legit and I have tested the file myself on the 120 and it does give file access. Unfortunately we have had this access to the file system of these units before and it still has not yielded a way to mod the software of the units. This member has claimed however that someone from Brazil was able to use this file to install Brazilian maps to his unit which up until this point at least was not possible. Stay tuned.

Guys, I have the X920BT in my Amazon cart... Just looking for a feedback to place the order! What do you guys think? Once it could enter the Test Mode, do you think it will be possible to install foreing (Brazil) maps on this unit? SHould I buy the x910BT instead and play safe???

    Looking forward feedback...
