I appreciate the responses, but they don't make any sense. These are all store bought cd's and all showed the cd information on my stock cd player that I took out to install the X920BT. As a matter of fact, I have never had a cd player in a car I've owned that didn't show the cd information, of some sort, but the X920Bt doesn't show anything, just dashes where the cd information should be. Oh well, like I said, I don't use the cd player much so I guess it doesn't matter. I have really enjoyed my X920BT, but if Pioneer doesn't step up and start paying attention to the details this might be my last from them.

I had never used the cd player until a few weeks ago and when I did I noticed that the head unit doesn't bring up any information about the cd on the screen. It plays it without a problem, but I was wondering if there is something I need to do to make the info show up? Thanks

But seriously, they scrapped iGo to use their own in-house nav and it's awful. That sort of bean counter move to save a few bucks will ultimately lead to lost profit and customers. Guess Pioneer didn't do well with economics 101.

I don't think the units are shit (I have a X920BT and really like it), but all the manufactures are going to have problems selling after market units when all of the dealerships are offering nav's in almost all the cars, even the cheaper ones, and most people have no idea how much they are paying for a unit that is only worth a third of the cost.

Doesn't matter if you use iTunes or not. I use an iPod Touch (2nd Gen) with my X920BT, the Pioneer cable and iTunes and I have to do a restore and add all of my music back on everytime I add anything new or the album art will not show up ......not sure why it does it, but I am sure Pioneer will not fix it, so I just wait to update my iPod until its worthwhile to do the restore.....

I had the same issue on my iPod Touch (2nd Gen) and the X920Bt and the only way I could get it to work was to do a restore to the iPod through iTunes and then re-add all the music. Kind of a pain, but it worked and all album art is showing up. Unfortunately, I added a new cd a few days later and the artwork did not show up again on the X920BT....did the restore and all is good. So, I am gathering from this that I may have to do a restore anytime I add new music to my iPod if I want the album art.

That what I'm thinking, but I figured it couldn't hurt to try, especially since they did release a firmware update for it (2.003), so who's to say they won't release another.....either way I still really like my X920BT, and the final touch will be installed in a couple of weeks, Alpine 10" subwoofer & amp!

I e-mailed Pioneer about the issue of the X920BT not pausing the iPod/iPhone when the Bluetooth receives a call. They didn't seem real interest in the issue, telling me only that there were no plans for an update to solve it, but after the third e-mail to them they said they would pass it along to the development team for consideration. Not sure if they will or if they will actually do anything about it, but at least I tried. you can pause a song on the screen when using an iPod/iPhone with the Pioneer cable, so I wouldn't think it would be that hard for them to program this in.....

I had the X920BT installed a few weeks ago and the installer placed it under the dash directly behind the headunit and said there should be no issues as long there is no metal parts above it. He was right, it is hidden and I have had no issues with it.

The people telling you to go with the 8" probably don't like the booming, car rattling, bass....which is really the difference, the bigger the sub, the power it can take the the louder it will go. It's really all a personal choice based on what you can afford!

I have searched the forums, but have not been able to find anything concerning this. Several people have posted that it might be a good idea to make a backup of the system on an SD card incase of issues later after the warranty expires. How do you do this for the X920BT?

FYI....Amazon.com does carry the real Pioneer cables, including the CD-IU50V cable (X920BT), but you won't find them for $10 or under....I purchased the CD-IU50V and it was $35.41 (no tax and free shipping) and it works great! They also carry the PAC Steering Wheel Interfaces and PAC Stereo Interfaces as well....I bought the iPod cable, PAC SWI-PS and PAC TATO-01 and the whole order was only $131, based on the MRSP's listed I saved around $150!

I believe that I read in the manual that the system (X920BT) accepts Class 2 cards....I have a 2GB Class 2 and it has worked great so far, but I haven't tried video off of it yet

I updated mine to 2.003 immediately and was happily surprised that it only took a couple of minutes....so far so good....loving this stereo!

I am using PAC SWI-PS and have had no issues at all.....

Sorry to hear of your problem.....I am using PAC (sterring wheel interface and JBL stereo interface) and have no issues at all....if you can return the Axxess one you might want to try PAC

Thanks....it is in and I love it...the stereo sounds even better than it did before by large margin. The car came with a 13 speaker 608 watt system and the X920BT really makes it sound great. Here is a picture of the original stereo (from the Toyota site, I forgot to take one before the install) and one after the install....by the way, the PAC lets me have all of the functions of the steering wheel controls, including operating my iPhone....fantastic!

Getting it installed tomorrow morning @ 10.....I can't wait. I have a 2009 Toyota Venza (V6) with the JBL Synthesis Sound System, so I bought the PAC SWI-PS Steering Wheel Interface, PAC TATO-01 Stereo Interface, CD-IU50V iPod Cable, and the Metra 95-8225G Dash Kit (which looks really good). I have an iPod Touch filled with music, my iPhone filled with movies, and a few splash screens I created in Photoshp ready to go! I'll post screenshots when it's done!
