Are you suing backup DVD's for navigation..? i was running into a similar problem with mines and it turned out to be stretched optical surface on my backup DVD...
-
dude...
this happened to me once... i reset my AVIC and it went away... i lost all my customer settings though...
i quickly discovered that the AVIC has independent volumes levels for both Audio and the the BT module and i have set it all the way down... try messing with the Audio Knob when making a call.

I'm getting alternator whine through my speakers.... do any of you know how to correct this problem>>>????
-
try hitting the reset button on the BTB and power cycle your cell phone.
Well i believe the module itself its a hideaway unit. so its somewhere in the universe of my dash.

I started experiencing this noise problem when i started using the EQ on the ipod. I turn the EQ settings off and the problem went away

Just open up disc copy in Nero. Worked perfectly, no extra steps needed. You must have a Dual Layer burner in your computer for this to work properly though.
Thank you!!!^^^ For the hundredth time ive repied in reference to this! You dont have to do any special steps to this, just use the copy feature in your burner app! Thats it people!!!
Confirmed. i just used the copy disc feature in nero 6 and my disc is working great..!

ok here is the problem, after a while of use the BTB200 will stop the redirecting any callers voice through the AVIC D3 so basically i cant hear what they are saying. Sometimes they can hear me and sometimes they just don't. Now the only way i have found to correct the problem is to disconnect the battery for a while which would also entail loosing all the custom settings i might have on the AVICD3. Does any one know how to reset the module from the AVIC itself or maybe how to correct the problem?

yeah, it's kind of unintuitive, given that the XMTRFC button is in the bottom right ... the answer buttons pop up in the top left.
interesting, i have never seen these options. The question itself is a yes or no question. i just dont know how to interact with it.... weird..!
-
I know its obvious i just dont know how to repond to the question within that screen, i am a XM subscriber and i also have traffic. The AVIC is asking a question i just dont know what to do to update or what to press,,,
-
ok guys there is a little button labeled "XMTRFC" on the map that when you press the guidance voice will tell you "there is no traffic information on your route".. there is a question on the bottom that say Do you want update? how do you update..?
-
Wow. that was very dumb of me...
-
I have the XM with Traffic module mater to the D3 but today is not displaying XM radion station banners or any ART. Any ideas on the problem or maybe how to reset the unit..???

I'm getting the same whine from Alternator... Damn....
this sucks... someone grounded my RCA's but there is still some left...

is it possible to copy my d3 disc?
i have a scratch on it and it might be the reason why my nav is not giving me all the navigation options on the screen
if so what program do i use?
What exactly do you mean with options? if your parking break is off, then some of the options will be disabled by the AVIC. Try before and after to see if this is your problem.

Does anyone select the options in the "Staging" section of the sound menu (like music studio/dynamic theater/actor's stage/living room)? I have gotten the levels the way I want them in the EQ, but I have a friend who insists that the speakers sound way better with the staging off, and I say it sounds better usually with the "Dynamic Theater" setting. I know that sound is subjective, and I have my theories about why I like this better, but I'd like to get your input and find out whether or not I'm just crazy.
p.s. the speakers in my car are component infinity's in the front, coaxial infinity's in the back and one infinity 10" reference sub, in a VW GTI.
Any thoughts?
Who cares what your friend says potentially sounds good or not? Sound is subjective. It's your car. They're your ears. Set it up the way you want. Don't be your friend's little bitch.
agree...
Set it up the WAY YOU like it.. and thats the end of the conversation. If he insists, tell him to go scratch a nut somewhere else.

Maybe i should get a Motorola....
Maybe you should. My Q works flawlessly. It even plays the ringer from the phone when it rings. I am very happy with the Q and ecstatic that the bluetooth functions so well.
Do you get voice prompts from the D3 with the Q when trying to use voice dialing (eg "Say a command")? Does the caller ID function work properly. My Q works great except for these two functions. Bluetooth audio even works, although you can't control it from the D3.
No i do not get Caller ID other than the number calling! no names. Another annoying thing is that when i get a txt message the D3 just rings and rings until you do something about it.

Have you guys noticed how neat the display is when you use the built in player on the AVIC D3? it actually build a very useful Menu of songs on that disc
I actually purchased the IPBUS CD Changer thinking that the Auto text functionality would be the same but it is not. Do you guys know of any DVD or CD changers that would do just that? no i'm not buying an IPOD.
Trust me. Before the D3 I was about as anti-ipod as one could get.
But having dozens of music videos, movies, thousands of songs..all in a tiny Ipod..controlled by the D3..is incredible.
I'd rethink the Ipod decision if I were you.
Good luck
Thanks for the advise. I actually seriously considering it. but for now. I think the Changer should display the information the right way on the D3. That kinda says that the different design division from pioneer do not communicate very well.
Adding RAM to D3?

Wow..... how did all this helped me or the original thread author to find out if his D3 is RAM upgradable? Honestly...! how...?
Honest man, for someone that is crying foul so loud about me insulting indirectly( and it was truly not intended that way) to others on some "figurative" speech, you sure have no problems insulting me...
Again this is a prime example of junk posting... i read all that just for you to say something that has been said before...
keep it simple, keep it clean and intelligent and keep it within the confines of what is being asked. How hard is that....? honestly...
